Pre-season netball is on Wednesday 2nd September.
If you have not signed up already, it is not too late, please just fill in the Microsoft form that was emailed.
Due to the current number of responses, we have had to make a few changes.

U15/16/18 will follow the same programme:
9.45-11.15am - fitness
11.30-1pm - skills
1.30-3pm - match play

U14s:
8-9.30am - fitness
9.45-11.15am - skills
11.30-1pm - match play

A fantastic day of House competitions for Truro School sports day 2026! After a morning of basketball, badminton, football, rugby, rounders, art, orienteering, water sports, cricket, fitness suite and tennis - we moved to the track, with relays and the 100m the order of the day. Thank you to all of the pupils, staff and parents who made this day so successful and supported. Oh and of course… congratulations school house…..! 🟢🟢🟢🟢🟢🏆

Tennis updates!

Over the last 2 weeks we’ve had pupils competing in county league competitions and friendly matches against Penair School!

Last Wednesday we had year 9 and 10 pupils taking part in the annual year 9/10 league competitions against local schools held at Penair School.

Well done to the following who represented the school superbly:

John W, Olly R, Matipa, Will, Isaac, Nathaniel, Alberto, Immy, Lucy, Isobel, Sarah, India and Yola

Today we also have Penair travel to compete in a friendly fixture against our year 7 boys and year 9/10 girls.

Thank you to all pupils for their brilliant engagement in the fixture.

Well done also to the following pupils who competed at the Cornwall Athletics Schools championships at the weekend.
The team showed brilliant resilience throughout the fixture and were a credit to the school!

Truro School Compete at Regional Athletics B Final

It was a memorable day at the Regional Athletics B final for our inter boys and junior girls, with outstanding performances, determination, and team spirit on display throughout.

🏅The Inter Boys team emerged victorious after a fantastic all-round performance, gaining a 411 points overall! 🏅

Meanwhile, after qualifying last minute, the Junior Girls stepped up to the plate securing brilliant results in events such as shot and long distance races!

Every athlete played their part in the team's success and Miss Bickley, Miss Harris and Mr Michael would like to thank the team for being a pleasure to take away and for representing the school so superbly!

A special mention goes to those who were adaptable to ensure that full teams could be fielded. Their willingness to put the team first contributed significantly to the overall results!

County tennis year 7/8 league tournament🎾

On Monday saw our year 7 and 8 tennis players compete in the annual league tournament held at Penair School.

The tournament was a great way for our players to gain experience of tennis matches, especially those who have shown fantastic commitment to the Friday after school tennis clubs run by Head Coach Mr Askey.

Well done to all those involved, it was great to see those who challenged themselves to play in their first tennis fixture for the school. Congratulations to the boys team who placed a brilliant 3rd place overall 🥉

U13 and u15 Mixed Doubles County Championships

Congratulations to our u13 and u15 mixed doubles tennis teams who took part in the county tournament today.

Following on from the success of the u15 tournament, our Mixed Doubles Tennis Team won county title with another outstanding performance🏅🏆

Well done to year 10 pupils Millie, Evie, Antonio and Jonny.

Miss Harris commented on how well the pupils represented the school, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship and work ethic from the first point to the last, with special mention to the u13 team who consistently rose to the challenge against tough opponents.

Well done to our year 8 pupils Lowenna, Sammy and Benji as well as year 7 pupils Evelyn.

We would also like to thank year 10 pupil Antonio for his brilliant contribution to our tennis programme this year. Antonio played his last match for the school before he returns to Spain in September. We wish him the best of luck for his future endeavours!

Another day of athletics for our year 7/8s!

On Wednesday 25 year 7/8 pupils took to the track to take part in the annual year 7/8 county athletics championships.

The pupils were a pleasure throughout the whole fixture and there were some fantastic performances across both the track and field events!

Tennis: boys 1st team play Millfield in the National Glanville Cup

After the journey to Somerset this morning, the team talk started by focusing on players match goals with the aim of giving their best “competing performance”. Head Coach Mr Askey emphasised making their opponents beat them; don’t beat yourself, as is often the case when playing higher ranked players.

At number 1 position, Jonny C put in an excellent performance vs the current U18 National Champion who has qualified for Junior Wimbledon this year.
Noah B, Ben M and Antonio also executed their match goals well and earned their opponents’ respect, as did the doubles teams of Jonny and Noah, and Ben and Sunny, who stepped into the team for the doubles round.

Mr Askey, said:
“I’m so proud of the boys. They agreed on their match goals, but to actually execute them like they did filled myself and Mrs Homer with a lot of pride. It was also really pleasing to see the boys play mature and confident tennis, well done to all. This was a great preparation match for the u15 regional competition taking place later this year’
