We’ve started our entry for the Holt Village Scarecrow Trail trail. This year’s theme is children’s books. We read the story first and had a duck hunt at the same time. We then made a peg loom ready to make part of our scarecrow.

This Thursday’s session we are going to be getting the knives out for a whole lot of chopping as we are making vegetable stir fry. There will not be a fire though to cook on because of the danger of wildfire, so we will be cooking on gas instead

Really nice to see the older boys leading on den building. We had mixed reviews on the plum goats milk ice cream possibly not sweet enough for some of critics but others two helping. The soft fruit alley is now complete with the strawberry plants finally in the soil after the children planting the seeds a couple of months ago.

It’s our last session of the school term this Thursday and there will be Forest school made ice cream for all. Don’t panic though, although it’s the last session of the school term we will be running through the summer holidays same place, same time. Unlike term time you will be able to just book onto the sessions you are at home for. If you can let us know as soon as possible what sessions you would like to book as it makes planning much easier, thanks
