Students and staff at St Augustine's Catholic College are celebrating today as the Class of 2026 receive their GCSE results, recognising their hard work and achievement across a broad and ambitious curriculum.
Headteacher Aidan Dowle said: “We are immensely proud of our students. These results reflect their ambition and determination, alongside the expertise and commitment of our staff and the support of families.
“Education is about opening doors and creating opportunities. These results do exactly that, giving our students exciting choices about where they go and what they achieve next.
“We are delighted that many of our students will continue their journey with us in our Sixth Form, while others move on to exciting opportunities. We wish every one of them the very best for what comes next.”

Congratulations Year 11 on GCSE results day!
It was great to see so many of our class of ‘26 collecting their results this morning with their friends, families and teachers.

Students and staff at St Augustine’s Catholic College are celebrating another successful year of results today. This year, it is the turn of the Class of 2026 to receive their A level results and prepare for the next stage of their lives. The students have, once again, achieved an excellent set of A level results, reflecting the high academic standards and aspirations of the College’s Sixth Form.
Headteacher Aidan Dowle said: “I am incredibly proud of what our students have achieved. Today is an opportunity to celebrate their hard work, determination and all they have contributed to our College community.
“Behind every result is an individual story, and it has been a privilege to see these young people grow in confidence and character.
“Our students are taking their next steps into an exciting and diverse range of destinations, with many securing chosen places at some of the UK’s most prestigious universities, while others embark on ambitious professional pathways, including the RAF, dental nursing and children’s nursing.
“We wish them every success as they begin this exciting new chapter.
“I would also like to thank our staff for their extraordinary commitment and our parents and carers for their support and encouragement.”
The whole St Augustine’s community congratulates the Class of 2026 and wishes them every success for the future.

Happy A Level results day!
It was great to see so many of you and your families at school from 8.30 this morning, celebrating your hard-earned success and the success of your friends!

Yesterday we celebrated Year 7’s performance skills with our annual Shakespeare festival, organised by Mrs Watson and the English department!
There was acting, music, dancing and prizes. Our guest judge Isis Strange, fresh from performing on stage in ‘Six’, chose her favourite performances.
Well done to everyone who took part and we can’t wait to do it again next year!

This evening was another chance to let the artistic and musical talents of our students shine!
As well as displaying the art of our GCSE and A Level students, tonight was also a musical showcase of the many talented singers, bands and musicians we have at St Augustine’s.
