🎪 “Ladies and gents, this is the moment you’ve waited for…” 🎵

You thought you knew SAS Mentoring… but it turns out, you’ve only seen one part of the show 👀

Yes, 1:1 mentoring is at the heart of what we do — but over the years, SAS has grown into so much more.

From in-reach classroom support and small-group interventions, to Game Plan, Reset & Resolve, parent programmes, staff training, positive handling, wraparound care and holiday clubs… we’ve somehow managed to pull quite a few things out of the SAS hat! 🎩✨

And the best bit? Every strand has been developed with the same purpose, supporting learners, families and schools in a way that actually meets their needs.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to shine the spotlight 🔦 on each part of our offer and explain exactly what it looks like, who it’s for and how it can support your school.

So… what do you want to know more about first? 👀

The Great Centre Bake Off 🍌 🧁

Last week, Millennium Centre and Langstone Centre went whisk to whisk in a friendly baking showdown - and the one rule was simple: it had to include bananas 🍌

📣 SALISBURY, WE’RE RECRUITING! 📣

SAS Mentoring is growing, and we’re looking for brilliant people to join our mentoring team specifically in the South of Wiltshire.

Our mentors work directly with learners who may have SEMH needs, anxiety, neurodiversity, difficulties engaging with education or other barriers that mean traditional settings haven’t quite worked for them.

This isn’t a job where every day looks the same. You might be supporting a learner with their education, getting out into the community, developing independence and life skills, exploring work experience or simply being the consistent, trusted adult they need.

And right now, we especially want to hear from positive male role models who could make a real difference to our learners. However, all applicants are welcome!

🚗 A full UK driving licence is essential!

Experience is always valuable, but we’re just as interested in who you are as a person. The right attitude, values and ability to build meaningful relationships with learners matter enormously to us.

In return, you’ll join a supportive and growing team, receive training and development, and have the opportunity to do genuinely meaningful work while having plenty of fun along the way!

We’re supporting Young Mental Health Day! 🌍 🧠

Organised by Stem4, Young Mental Health Day is held every year. It brings together young people, schools, families, professionals and organisations across the UK to focus on helping young people thrive.

This year’s theme is to support young people in building resilience, reducing isolation, and promoting positive mental health.

Today, our focus is on encouraging our young people to focus on small, consistent steps to create a healthier, more hopefully future! 🫶🏽 🌍
