The John of Gaunt School results impress again! 🎉
Our Year 11 students have plenty of reason to celebrate following another excellent set of GCSE results. We are incredibly proud of the hard work and progress shown by this year’s cohort.
We are so pleased that The John of Gaunt School has a higher attainment percentage at every grade boundary for combined English and Mathematics GCSE than the AQA average across its schools.

Holly Pattinson – six 9s, four 8s and one 7
Catherine Fearon – six 9s, three 8s and two 7s
Edward Carter – five 9s, one Distinction*, three 8s and one 6
Khamsin Robertson – four 9s, five 8s and two 7s
Ava Pike – five 9s, two 8s and four 7s
We would also like to recognise Nicole Hill, Olivia Walden, Amalie Hickmott, Klara Bliha and Logan Bittner who all achieved grades above those expected based on their entry scores. Nicole achieved an average of over three grades above expected, while Logan achieved over two grades above expected.
A huge thank you goes to our dedicated staff and to the parents and carers who have supported our young people throughout their journey.
We can't wait to welcome many of our Year 11 students back to The John of Gaunt Sixth Form in September and we wish all our students every success as they take their next steps in further education and beyond.
