An Autumn adventure to the big school field. The children found all sorts of natural treasures and some stunning autumn colours. They enjoyed exploring what they had found and taking a closer look at the autumn colours when they got back to preschool.

We set the children to work at Forest School, and they rose to the challenge! They managed to build an incredible den that was big enough to fit everyone inside. They worked together to carry long sticks and carefully criss-crossed and balanced them to make walls and a roof. They were so proud of their den 🥰 What a fantastic achievement.

A little taste of the last few days at preschool: an ongoing group art project, retelling the story of the three billy goats and some autumnal leaf printing. Lots of lovely creative expression 🧡💛🩵💚❤️🤎

The weather was kind to us at forest school today, we managed to avoid the rain but loved the puddles that we found along the way. The mud kitchen was particularly busy with lots of delicious baking: yummy birthday cakes with twig candles and leafy flames. The children decorated a few more log cookies to add to the mobile, it is looking fantastic and ready to move to its new home at preschool.🍁🍃🍂🎂

“It’s spikey!”
We are loving watching the seasons change and looking out for signs of Autumn. The children have enjoyed exploring natural treasure in the tuff tray, and finding and saving the sunflower seeds to plant next year. 🍎🌲🌻🦔
