You can't pour from an empty cup.

But more than that you deserve to be filled up. Not just for your family's sake but for yours.

This weekend I'm joining an incredible group of women at The Unschooling Summit to talk about the importance of taking care of ourselves as home educating mothers.

It's free. It's online. And there are 60+ speakers, roundtables, and workshops across three days.

I'm on the wellbeing roundtable on Sunday evening at 7pm UK time and I'd love to see you there.

The London launch was a celebration of our book and what we had achieved as a group. It was a fabulous evening, a small joyful gathering of special guests. But our readers weren't there and now the book is in your hands I'm sure you've got questions:

β†’ Can you really publish a book in less than 8 months?
β†’ What's the real story behind the book?
β†’ How do strangers collaborate like this?
β†’ Who even buys a fax machine in 2024?

Tomorrow, along with my fellow Fax Club authors we will be answering all of your questions at our free online launch.

This is your invitation to be part of the story.

November 6th, 5pm UK time.

"The most beautiful journey begins once you cross the start line." - David Hieatt

The problem is most people never even approach the start line. They see the opportunity and feel the pull, but talk themselves out of it.

"That's bonkers."
"I can't do that."

I was that person. For years l held myself back.

But somewhere along the way, I did the messy work to get myself to a place where I could say "I'm in" instead of "I can't."

So when the invitation to join a crazy idea called Fax Club landed in my inbox, my first thought wasn't doubt. It was curiosity. It was "yes."

The journey IS the best bit.

Was publishing the book our finish line? Did we win?

I don't think so. We're all still running the race. Running because running together has become fun.

Where are you standing right now? At the start line? Or still convincing yourself you're not ready?

How can I help you to be ready for the next opportunity and a chance to say "yes"?

Me, David Hieatt (Fax Club founder), and Christabel talking about the maddest experiment we've ever been part of.

We're unpacking:

✨ Why we said yes to a year of fax machines and anonymous questions

✨ What actually happened when 100 strangers tried to think counterintuitively

✨ How 32 of us ended up writing a book together via WhatsApp

If you've been wondering what this whole Fax Club thing is about - tune in NOW.

If you haven't brought the book head to Amazon and grab a copy.

This morning I found my dahlias still blooming beautifully in the garden. I picked a vase full before breakfast and realised I'd been so caught up in launching the Fax Club Experiment book l hadn't even noticed them. 🌸

Six years ago, those flowers didn't exist in my garden. Neither did the version of me that said yes to writing a book.

Back then, I was at my lowest point. Lost. Living for everyone else's "well done" instead of my own sense of aliveness.

The shift? I started getting curious about what l actually wanted. Not what looked good. Not what I "should" want. But what made me feel 100% ME.

I tried all sorts of things:

Grew dahlias.
Retrained as a coach.
Joined groups with passionate, can-do people.
Sought out deeper conversations.
Said yes to challenges and hard graft.
Discovered a love of reading.
Eat food that worked for my body and mind.

Slowly, I built a life that fits.

So please use this as your reminder, you're not too old. You're not too anything.

Middle age isn't an ending, it's where you finally get to meet yourself. Where you stop performing and start being.

If you've been feeling the stirrings of something more, something truer, that's not restlessness. That's readiness!

What's one small thing you've been curious about trying?

Blimey, what a day! πŸ“ βœ¨

Yesterday we hit BESTSELLING BOOK in our category.

Reached #1 in Movers & Shakers.

And we are currently sitting at #234 in ALL books on Amazon. That blows my mind.

WE DID IT.

The challenge was to write a book. And 32 strangers, with no plan and no hierarchy produced a book on pure energy, ideas, passion and a joint purpose.

Trust was everything. Embracing each other's skills, quirks, and ways of seeing the world was key. Saying yes when it didn't make sense was essential. Taking one step, then another towards the goal was always the focus.

A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who brought the book. I'm excited to hear what you think of The Fax Club Experiment.

To those of you who feel unsure about stepping into the unknown, that hear the words "that'll never work" and listen, THIS is what's possible when you step forward.

You are so much more capable than you ever imagine.

Now, excuse me while I go do my first radio interview. πŸŽ™οΈ

Wish me luck! πŸ“ πŸ’«
