You can tell Miss H is back from her holidays 😂. I can’t tell you how much I’m going to miss her fabulous play when she moves on to school nursery 🥰. Hope they’re ready for her 😂

Another day, another settling in session. This little sweetie is a little younger and needed a little more reassurance before having the confidence to leave my knee and explore. So we sat like this until she was ready to go. My two older girls were total superstars passing her toys, reading her books and playing peepo to make her smile 🥰

I’ve had the full on medical treatment today! Tweezers for the prickles on my legs, a hammer for my bumpy knees and magic cream for the creases on my face. Brutal but all true observations 😂😂

This time of year is always a time of change and transitions! We have new little ones joining us who are navigating the unknown of being away from their parents for possibly the first time. Then we have our oldest crew members off to new adventures, and of course those who are still here having what they have know for the last few years turned upside down as they go from the youngest to now being the oldest of the group.

It’s always an anxious time of year for me as I establish a new “normal” and navigate the heightened emotions that transitions evoke in children. You never quite know whether it’s going to be a smooth ride or one with plenty of bumps along the way. But we will tackle it in our usual slow and unhurried way, building those essential strong relationships that will underpin our whole time together.

This morning this little treasure joined us for her first settling in session and she absolutely smashed it like a pro! I can confirm she has well and truly mastered my name 😄🥰

As I do on most weekends, yesterday I was out and about on the Wales coast path with my lovely ladies walking group. Quite by chance we met a super kind landowner who offered to show us some really quite rare flowers growing on his land. Off the beaten track we found these amazing little beauties, Marsh Gentian and we were so lucky to get to see them. His wife was with him and she was a bat conservationist. I think it’s super important to immerse our little ones in nature and hopefully ignite a passion that means they get as excited as we did to see this amazing flower. I would love nothing more to take my children to see some of the amazing scenery we saw yesterday but my risk assessment of cliff edges and rock scrambling would be an absolute no 😂😂
