Applications for Summer intake are now open and will close on 7 February 2026.
If your child turns 3 between 1st January 2026 - 31st March 2026 you can apply for a pre-nursery place at a school or in a non-maintained registered education provider for April 2026.
Please see letter below for details on how to apply or speak to staff in the nursery setting for a copy of this letter.

It is with mixed emotions that I share my departure from Penpych playhouse as setting leader to progress in my career. My last day will be the 19th December. I am incredibly grateful to have been apart of your children’s journey and I will cherish the memories we have made. I will be leaving you in the capable hands of Nicolle who’s has accepted the leader position. Interviews are being carried out to appoint a new deputy. I wish you and your children all the best, I’m going to miss you all 🥰

Treherbert Session
Overview
This session is a part of the Treherbert Initiative work area, supported by the Local Public Health Team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board and Grow Rhondda.
Why are we doing this?
We’re exploring what supports health and wellbeing in Treherbert—and what could be improved. We have captured a number of insights and experiences from the community that are helping us understand what’s working well and what needs attention.
What’s involved?
· When: 18th July 2025 10am-11:30am
· Where: OAP Hall, Treherbert
· Who: Residents of Treherbert / Participants of local groups and programmes.
· Why: To reflect on the findings we have gathered and ensure the represents what it’s like to live in Treherbert.
What you need to know:
· Your participation is voluntary.
· The session will not be recorded, but notes will be taken.
· All information will be kept confidential and anonymised.
· The times detailed show when you can join in and share your feedback—so please pop by during those hours. We’d really appreciate your input
· Your feedback will help us confirm what we heard is true for us to inform our areas of work.
