‼️ Important update for parents applying for a Flying Start Childcare place ‼️

From 1st September 2024 the application process for a Flying Start Preschool place changed. The Flying Start Childcare Admissions team are now only able to accept applications from the term your child turns 2 (If you try to apply prior to this, the system will not let you proceed).

If your child’s birth date is between the 1st September 2022 and 31st December 2022, you are now able to apply for your child’s Preschool place by scanning the QR codes or clicking on the link underneath 👇.

Please note that the deadline for all childcare applications is Friday 1st November 2024.

Flying Start Pre-School Eligibility Dates

A gran is warning other families about the dangers of slush ice drinks after her 2-year-old granddaughter was hospitalised after drinking one.

Slushies contain glycerol to prevent the liquid freezing solid. In high quantities, especially to children under five, glycerol can cause shock, hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) and loss of consciousness.

Please do not give slushies to children under five. And, limit older children to just one slush.
