What a day! And a great end to the week π
Last Monday, our learners began their journey to become IOSH Approved People Handling Trainers - today they completed their course by submitting and carrying out their assessments π©·
H began the day delivering a session on hoisting from bed - chair! She engaged her peers, showed great technique and really supported her group π
L then demonstrated safe use of slide sheets and how to reposition individuals whilst in bed! Her technique was excellent, communication was engaging and again, thoroughly supported her peers π
Next up we had H, who demonstrated how to fit slings with slide very supportive, encouraging and sheets in bed - one of the most effective techniques to reduce discomfort for both staff and individuals. H was very supportive, encouraging and responsive π
Our 4th learner, P, encouraged her peers to demonstrate first - how to use a stand aid! Confidence and trust was instilled into the peers from the outset by supporting them with questions, hints and tips π
And to end the sessions, we had C who took us through Inanimate Load Handling! Everyone thinks its 'just a boring box' - but its so much more about the technique, rather than the object. C supported, guided and provided feedback to her peers π
All learners from start to finish, pushed themselves out of their comfort zone, challenged themselves and designed, developed and delivered excellent sessions β¨οΈ
Thank you for the last 2 weeks and all your hard work - we wish you all the absolute best on your new career path π§‘
