Childminders don't just switch off once the last child is waved out the door at hometime. Its then our time to catch up on paperwork, clean and reset our houses.
Last night was no different and while I tuned in to the first of five webinars on neurodiversity, I was able to laminate and cut up all my storage box labels ready for sticking 😁

I deliberately asked the children to find and mix the colours so we could create different ones. The children worked their way down the list and their little fingers and hands did a wonderful job ❤️🧡💚💙💜

The move has started 📦 📦 📦
Fear not my childminding families, I am still in the same house, just needed a little more room before my attic started to cave in.
First couple of runs done, a few more over the next couple of days and then to add the labels.
I do love to be organised 😁

I must mention my ever supportive husband Laird Gilfillan who had had to put up with my resources all over the house for the last 20 years. It cant have been easy watching your footy with a fish & chip shop one side of your chair and a play BBQ the other, not to mention the 6 dolls houses dotted around the place waiting on their upcycle. You even helped me to start moving 'my stuff' 🤣🤣🤣
Thank You Mr G, this can only mean one thing......more room, more stuff ❤️

Absolutely loved painting this set up for the kids. After arguing with myself over colour choices - pastel, fluorescent, glitter 🤔 I reminded myself what I was using it for. To teach basic colours 🌈
Im thinking of writing the colour names on the back and can't decide what to put for the 2nd one in. Should it be maroon, burgundy, wine??

My new little people have had their first week with their new friends and it all went great.

I've painted up a 'hydration station' tray where they all have their own water bottle to access whenever they want. Their names have been added so they can recognise their bottle. This is one of the first steps in early literacy and will help boost confidence and independence 💦

Oh my goodness, what an emotional ending to a fabulous day. Yes, a lot of effort has gone into this graduation party but I have had these beautiful, amazing children for four years and they deserve it! They have put up with my constant moaning about the weather, listened to my endless castle chat and have even been kind with their comments on my singing and dance moves. I love them all and they have become such a huge part of our family life .
Time to put my feet up now and reflect on the friendships we have made ❤️
Massive thank you to my niece Orlagh for giving me a huge hand today and wearing many hats 🤭
