Check out the before and after of what we accomplished with the help of volunteers from Royal London and RWE who together with the parent council spent two days transforming the Sanderson’s Wynd school allotment!

Sincerest thanks to our amazing volunteers!!! The children will be delighted to return to this lovely garden space next week!

Have any volunteering days through your work? Reach out to us!

Our Youth Worker Debbie has a stall at the Friends of Polson Park summer picnic. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon before going back to school. Pop along and support this amazing ground and the work they are doing.

Children and young adults can enjoy free swimming at pools across East Lothian as part of the Scottish Government’s Summer of Sport 2026 scheme.
The free sessions will be available for all swimmers aged 26 and under from Monday, 29 June until Friday, 7 August.
Free family swimming sessions will also allow up to two parents or carers to accompany children and young people in the water.
We're providing this free access along with Enjoy Leisure from 11am each day during normal public swimming times at five pools in the county - Aubigny Sports Centre in Haddington, Mercat Gait Centre in Prestonpans, Dunbar Leisure Pool, Musselburgh Sports Centre and North Berwick Sports Centre.
We're using a £243,000 award from the £20 million Summer of Sport national initiative - which is funded by the Scottish Government and facilitated by sportscotland - to cover the costs.
The free swims are aimed at reducing barriers to participation in sport so more young people have the chance to stay healthy and active.

💙 WOW! What a morning at the Mighty Mile on Saturday! 💙

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped make Saturday such a success.

Over 70 children wheeled, walked and ran their way around the course, raising more than £1,100 in sponsorship for our school. Our bake sale on the day raised over £500 in addition, thanks to the incredible generosity of parents, carers, local supporters and the Meadowmill Parkrun community who stopped by before our event began.

Special thanks to Booker Wholesale - Retail A1 Edinburgh for donating cakes, bakes and water, thanks to our fantastic teachers for taking part, and to Headmistress Lynsey for joining us and presenting medals to all our amazing participants.

We'd also like to thank our school office team for their support with communications, collecting baking and organising uniform donations.

Most importantly, thank you to every child who took part and every family who supported them. You should all be incredibly proud. 🎉

Dress Down & Baked Good Donations Tomorrow (Friday):
Tomorrow is Dress Down Day in support of the Mighty Mile. All pupils are welcome to dress down, and we would greatly appreciate donations of baked goods for our stall. Please hand these in to the class teacher or school office by 12pm.

We’re excited to remind you that our 4th Annual Mighty Mile will take place at 11:30am this Saturday, 6 June, at Meadowmill Sports Centre. Please come to the grassy bit behind the centre.

Like many of you, we’ve been keeping an eye on the weather forecast! Unless conditions worsen significantly, the event will go ahead—after all, we live in Scotland and made of tough stuff! Please check our page for live updates on the day.
