What a lovely rainy day to be starting our Walk 400 Miles for Breast Cancer Challenge! Claire Stewart, Sarah Forster, Lynn Guzik and I have signed up for this through the charity Breast Cancer Now. Most of you will be used to seeing pics of us glam'd up with a drink in hand, however for the month of October we will be swapping the cocktail glasses for a fitbit and the heels for active wear (!) and we'll be out walking every day until we've "walked all over breast cancer". For our instrument taster course. All the 4pm slots are full and we have 2 left for the class at 5.30-6pm on Thursdays in Pencaitland starting Thu 26 August. 30 week course, 10 weeks each of ukulele, violin, piano. Instruments provided. £12 per lesson (paid by monthly DD Sept through to June, £36 per month). Only 2 pupils per class. Recommended for children in P2-P4. First come first served, complete the booking form to reserve a place.

Calling all nature lovers! The lovely Lynn, from Fantoosh Sketching, is running some sketch and wander workshops as part of the Fringe by the Sea festival. I have done two of these now and they are brilliant. I am NOT an artist but I really enjoyed the workshop and I was pleasantly surprised with what I achieved. No experience is necessary and Lynn will provide the materials. Just turn up and enjoy the peace!

Hi everyone.
We're excited to be able to offer our instrument taster sessions again staring in the Autumn term. Instrument tasters are 3 blocks of approx 10 weeks each in ukulele, violin and piano. They're aimed at children in P2/P3 and will run in Pencaitland on Thursdays after school. Pupils will be in small groups (2, 3 max) and we will provide the instruments. Hi everyone! We're excited to announce that we **think** Kerry will be able to resume Hullabaloo in the Autumn term. As long as the singing restrictions are lifted we should be good to go. We're currently looking at Monday morning for East Calder and Thursday morning for Balerno. Please click below to register your interest. Although this is our booking form, it doesn't ask for any money and we won't ask you to commit - but it would help us to know whether we're going to have enough customers to resume. An ex-pupil has this Maholo ukulele for sale. It cost £24 originally and has been well looked after. Few pen marks on the case. I think £10 would be a decent price if anyone is interested.
