Make It Count A similar structure is present for Secondary pupils, where the themes explored can be ones that generate opinion e.g.

GE is a school that runs alongside the current curriculum's (Curriculum for Excellence) desire for more extracurricular activities to be embedded into a pupil’s learning experience. It seeks to help develop a pupil’s understanding of an artistic skill and how to implement the practicality of the skill into a themed approached that is implemented in their learning. For Primary pupils this can vary

from the Vikings to the Rainforest, so that pupils can gain a deeper insight into their topics and grasp a greater appreciation of the messages that can be conveyed in different dance styles. homelessness/ X Factor, to encourage the values of respect and unique identity. Built on Christian morals that seek to encourage young individuals to make a practical difference in their city, GE aims to also intertwine practical community work with the arts, thus not only giving pupils opportunities to be ‘responsible citizens’, but allowing their voice to be heard as they combine their experiences into choreography. Open to all from nursery (3/4 yrs) to adults.

Hello Everyone,

Our new term kicks off on Sat 15th Aug and we are so excited to welcome everyone back again :D

All classes at Ormiston Church are open for any new families wanting to join us this term and for the first time we have some great classes for teens as well!

Running this term we have:

Nursery Ballet (3-4 years- close to 3 ok to join)
P1-P7 Ballet
Secondary Ballet
P3-7 Jazz/Tap
Secondary Jazz/Tap
P5-7 Street
Secondary Hip Hop
Secondary Contemporary
P1-S1 Breakdance
Adult Tap
Adult Stretch

Most classes offer a FREE first class, we have sibling discount and we also offer a bursary rate (reduced fees) to families struggling financially.

Final reminder for our amazing camps happening THIS WEEK! We have 3 spaces left in P1-3 Lilo + Stitch and 6 spaces left in P4-S1 Jazz/Street Fusion.

We've had a bit of an issue this week with bookings as it says on Class4kids that camps are full. If you are keen to come please join the wait list and I'll transfer your child on to the class register. If not please dm me personally and I will try and sort it. The joys of technology, but just wanted to say in case families thought we were fully booked, we still have space and we would LOVE to see you! Booking link below.

Our fabulous summer camps start NEXT WEEK :D Who is excited? We most definitely are!

Packed full of games, team challenges, craft and fun dance routines- it's not one to be missed!

Plus if you are new to Ormiston, we have the most amazing play park, pump track and coffee shop- perfect for the whole family!

LAUNCHING SAT 16TH MAY :D

Trialing for 5 weeks before the summer hols. If successful we will continue in Aug. Really excited for this and hope it will be something special for families here in East Lothian and beyond.
