Last chance to take part in the Early Learning and Childcare (ELC) Parent Survey by 29th May

Dear Parent/Carer,

This is a reminder about taking part in the ELC parent and carer survey. The survey is for all parents and carers with children aged 0-6 who have not yet started school. The survey asks about your views and use of early learning and childcare in Scotland and should take around 15-20 minutes to complete. Those who complete this can enter a prize draw for a chance to win 1 of 8 £100 Love2Shop e-gift vouchers.

The survey will be available until Thursday 29th May 2025. Please feel free to share this survey with other parents or carers of children that you know (e.g. via parent / nursery WhatsApp groups).

Does your child turn five between 1 March 2025 and 28 February 2026? You can now enrol them for primary one in their catchment school starting in August 2025.

You can apply online. You'll need a few documents to hand including a utility bill dated within the last six months, a copy of your child's birth certificate (not needed if they attend one of our nurseries or a partner provider) and a Roman Catholic baptism certificate for our denominational schools.

If you deferred entry last year, or plan to defer until Aug 2026, you still need to enrol now. You should also complete the online form even if you intend to apply for a non-catchment school.

Enrolment closes 24/11/24.

🚩👑This week is Civic Week in Tranent with lots happening after our towns Gala last Sunday.

The children attended the Teddy Bears Picnic at Tranent Library today.

The weather was quite windy 💨 when we arrived so it was held inside today. The children had a super time & lots & lots of fun.

Massive thank you to Bill from the Library everyone really had a great time.

We all enjoyed singing, dancing, Bill read the children some lovely books. And everyone even the adults participated in all the activities and singing.📕🎶
