⚠️ Early Nursery Closure ⚠️

Dear Parents

We are writing to inform you that, following careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close the nursery tomorrow and Friday at 12.30pm due to the exceptionally high temperatures and the current red weather warnings in place.

We have made every effort to remain open and to keep both children and staff as comfortable as possible. However, classroom temperatures have risen to extremely high levels. As a result, we believe it is necessary to prioritise the health, safety, and wellbeing of everyone.

We appreciate that this decision may cause disruption, and we thank you for your understanding and support.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you again for your continued support.

Dear Parents

We are following national safety advice after the Office for Product Safety and Standards recalled several children’s products containing sand contaminated with asbestos. As a precaution, we have temporarily stopped all sand-based play. Current public-health advice indicates the risk to health is very low.

Our lovely ladies do so much work and planning behind the scenes. We always have a theme in each of the rooms every week and that filters into all of the different activities so the children just think they're playing but they're also learning key skills.

This theme was The Hungry Caterpillar.
The children discussed the lifecycle of a butterfly, cut up cabbage with scissors to practice their cutting skills, had healthy snacks to tie in with the story, did some maths, created a timeline and so much more.
