Monday - Friday (2pm on Monday and 9.30/10am the rest of the week) - a 2-2-1 session suitable for a 6-9 year old who can swim a short distance unaided (achieved Stage 2).

Heartbreaking news 💔

I had the pleasure of teaching for Tamsin at Water Babies when I started my swimming teaching career 20 years ago and remained with Water Babies for many years. She was an incredible lady and boss, helping and supporting me when I set up the Jump In and Swim School and thereafter. My thoughts and condolences are with her family and everyone who knew her.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the incredibly sad news that our wonderful Tamsin has passed away.

For 22 years, Tamsin poured her heart and soul into Water Babies Bucks & Beds, building something that became so much more than a swimming school. She created a community, a family and a legacy that has touched the lives of thousands of babies, toddlers and their families.

Through her own teaching and the incredible team she nurtured, mentored and supported, Tamsin helped thousands of little ones take their first splashes, build confidence and develop a lifelong love of the water.

Her passion extended far beyond Bucks & Beds. Tamsin was a huge influence within the wider Water Babies family and dedicated so much of herself to the Children’s Alliance charity, championing opportunities and brighter futures for children.

But to those fortunate enough to have known her, Tamsin was so much more than all she achieved.

A true friend, mentor, advocate, inspiration and truly wonderful woman.

She believed in people, encouraged them and helped them become the very best versions of themselves. Her kindness, determination and unwavering passion left a lasting impression on everyone whose life she touched.

We feel incredibly blessed to have known her and to have been part of something so special.

As we move forward, we do so with enormous pride and a heartfelt commitment to honouring everything Tamsin built and dedicated so much of her life to.

Water Babies Bucks & Beds will continue to carry her passion, values and legacy forward for generations of little swimmers to come.

Our thoughts, love and deepest condolences are with Tamsin’s family, friends and everyone whose life she touched.

Thank you, Tamsin, for everything 🥰

Your legacy will live on in every little splash, every milestone celebrated and every life you helped change.

SWIMMING LESSONS AT ROADE DURING AUGUST

There are still a couple of spaces left on the swimming course during August:

10th - 14th August at 9am - Group session suitable for a child who can swim 5m+ unaided

Tuesday 11th August at 10am - 2-2-1 suitable for a 4/5 year old confident beginner

Wednesday 12th August at 10am - 2-2-1 suitable for a 4/5 year old confident beginner

Thursday 13th August at 10.30am - 2-2-1 suitable for a 4/5 year old confident beginner

Wednesday 19th August at 9am and 10am - 1-2-1 / 2-2-1

Thursday 20th August at 9.30am - 1-2-1 / 2-2-1

Friday 7th August at 9am

There are also some spaces left during the week 10th - 14th August and 17th - 21st August in the mornings.

There are still a few spaces left in the summer swimming courses. Swimming is such an important life skill so these sessions are perfect as preparation for a holiday or as a top up to weekly lessons held during term time.

* 20th - 24th July 2026 (9am - 11.30am apart from 20th July which is 1.30pm - 3.30pm)
* 3rd - 7th August 2026 (9am - 11.30am)
* 10th - 14th August 2026 (9am - 11.30am)

A couple of 1-2-1 swimming sessions have become available this week at The Willison Sports Centre, Roade.

Thursday 28th May at 10am

These sessions are great to top up your child's current weekly sessions, or to give them the confidence to go swimming during the holidays. Swimming is such an important life skill and 1-2-1 sessions enable a child to be taught at their pace and ability with 100% focus on them with the instructors in the water.

Cost of 1-2-1s is £36 per session.
