Forest Park School is a very special place which provides for children aged 2-19 with moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties. The school is based on two sites. The Primary site has a range of pupils with moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties, whilst the secondary site provides education for children with severe and profound learning difficulties. We have a team of dedicated, talented and skilled professionals who offer a child centered, flexible and are responsive to individual needs. We also offer high quality pastoral support, therapeutic support and an enjoyable broad, balanced curriculum reflective of individual needs with equal emphasis on personal and academic success. We provide a happy, supportive and positive learning environment where mutual respect and caring for each other are actively encouraged and modelled. The Governors and staff have high aspirations for the young people in our care. We believe very much in partnership between home and school, the local community and other agencies as they a very important part of ensuring successful outcomes for our pupils. Children learn far more effectively when staff and parents work together and we have various initiatives to ensure this works for parents, children and staff.
