Opera Forge programme update:

Following urgent knee surgery, Sir John Tomlinson is no longer able to join us at Dartington this Saturday. We send Sir John our very best wishes for a speedy recovery.
We are delighted that internationally acclaimed opera director and designer Charles Edwards has agreed to step in at short notice for both the behind-the-scenes ticketed rehearsal and the evening concert.
Charles has directed and designed productions for some of the world’s leading opera companies, including the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; Metropolitan Opera, New York; Opera North; Grange Park Opera and Scottish Opera.
He is currently directing and designing Grange Park Opera’s new Ring cycle, which opened this summer with Das Rheingold and continues with Die Walküre in 2027, and is also designing Sir David McVicar’s new Turandot for Scottish Opera.
We’re enormously grateful to Charles for joining us and look forward to welcoming him to Dartington this Saturday.
