SUMMER LANGUAGE SCHOOL 2023 - NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS !

Book your space now and experience an unforgettable adventure.

Our SLS-course 2023, starting on 30th July and finishing on 20th August, is designed for international Steiner students age 13 to 17. Non-Steiner students are also welcome. Our successful SLS programme enables students to improve their English language skills alongside exciting activities and excursions, to experience British culture and family life, to discover Britain's beautiful outdoors and make international friends from all around the world.

LONDON STREET ART TOUR 2020

Experience London’s Stress either during our on-site SLS 2020, 26th July until 16th August, or virtually during the Digi Camp 2020, 26th July until 15th August!

Each challenge also offers a teachable moment. If you find yourself faced with a challenging situation, figure out what you can learn from it. See challenges as platforms for growth. When you change your point of view, your experiences will change with it.

Going virtual does not necessarily mean being restricted but exploring new ways and taking advantage of vastly growing possibilities. This new possibility of a Digital Summer Language School 2020 may allow us to grow as a SLS team of students, staff and teachers. It may facilitate creating a stronger bond in between teachers, staff and students more quickly as challenges are met and tackled together, helping and supporting each other.

Our daily Morning Gatherings, prior to the English lessons, will physically prepare you for an enriching day and get you moving through small Yoga, Pilates and Meditation exercises. You will further join a Sports Class, which will get you out, get you moving and take you off-screen. For this, you will follow audio instructions of our sports teacher – of course in English, battling against fellow students from within your group.

DIGI CAMP 2020

Join a Craft Class creating a leather bag, similar to Mary Poppins’ Gladstone Bag, supported by our craft teacher and share your results by the end of the session. (If you don’t wish to make a Gladstone Bag, alternatives are available!) You will receive a physical Welcome Pack prior to the Digital SLS 2020 with instructions on technicalities and other useful materials for activities and lessons.

Travel to London digitally with our trip leader, getting to know the metropole and people who call it their home. You will participate in a London Street Art Tour, interview locals, visit places of interest and you will maybe even be asked to create your own virtual sightseeing tour through the large city. We won't only take you to London during the Digital SLS 2020. We will also introduce you to our local nature and countryside with a trip to the beautiful Devon Coast. You will meet locals, gain insight on interesting topics and maybe even join a virtual snorkel tour to a shipwreck laying on the near local seashore.

DIGI CAMP 2020 - 26th July until 15th August.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to physically act on stage but we will take to a digital stage and create a performance-recording which will collectively be viewed on 15th August. As part of the preparation, you will participate in a Drama Workshop, able to decide whether you would like to act supported by our drama teacher, make music supported by our music teacher, work on digital stage backgrounds and stage props supported by our digital design teacher or be involved in the editing process of the recording lead by our videography teacher.
