🎭✨ A huge congratulations to our amazing Year 6s for their fantastic production of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Sisters a few weeks ago!

They wowed audiences with their confidence, teamwork and incredible comic timing, bringing every character to life with energy, enthusiasm and plenty of laughs.

A massive thank you also goes to the wonderful adults who worked so hard behind the scenes to make this production possible — your support, creativity and dedication were invaluable.

We are so proud of the creativity, commitment and courage our children showed on stage. A brilliant performance from a brilliant group of children! 🌟👏

🐒🌿 Oak Class brought their creative enquiry to life with a visit to Dartmoor Zoo last week!

As part of their exploration into “How can we bring the jungle to life through art and movement?” the children were inspired by the incredible animals they saw, observing their movements, behaviours and unique features.

The visit sparked curiosity and imagination, giving the children ideas and inspiration to take back to school to inform their upcoming performance and create their own jungle-inspired masterpieces. 🎨🌴

A wonderful day of creativity, discovery and exploration! 💚

🌿 Beech Class have been exploring our local environment as part of the Small but Mighty project, discovering how even the tiniest creatures, like the Tentacled Lagoon Worm, play an important role in our ecosystem. 🌊

As part of this learning, they enjoyed a fantastic day with the Ambios team at Sharpham by the river. The children embraced every activity with enthusiasm and curiosity, exploring wildlife and making the most of this wonderful experience.

🌟✨ Y6 London Residential – What an Adventure! ✨🌟

Our Year 6 children have made incredible memories last week on their residential trip to London, experiencing so many unforgettable moments together.

They enjoyed a special meal at Gordon Ramsay Street Burger, watched the spectacular The Lion King in the West End 🎭, and explored some of London’s most iconic landmarks including Leicester Square, Chinatown London, and Buckingham Palace.

They rounded off their adventure with a fascinating visit to the Natural History Museum, London 🦖🏛️

What amazing memories were made—an experience they’ll never forget! 🌟

Elm Class had a fantastic learning experience exploring Bowerman’s Nose and Hound Tor, gathering inspiration for their folktales and artwork along the way.

The children thoroughly enjoyed stepping back in time as they explored the medieval village, bringing history and imagination together in a truly memorable day. 🏰📖🎨

They behaved safely and responsibly throughout and represented our class brilliantly—well done, Elm Class!

Our Y6s are so lucky to be supported by our community!

As our Year 6's come into their last few weeks at Totnes St. John's Church of England Primary School, we celebrate all the wonderful memories they have made!

A big thank you to Welly’s Cafe and St John's Church Totnes who donated money towards the cost of the Year 6 Leavers Hoodies. Totnes St John's PTFA also donated funds towards the hoodies and it's been a pleasure to see them wearing them so proudly, the children are delighted!!

We wish our Year 6s all the best as they head off to their next school after the summer! ☀️

Beech Class had a wonderful experience exploring Hound Tor and the medieval village! The children enjoyed talking, sketching, and taking part in exciting role play activities to bring the past to life.

These experiences helped inspire their folktale writing, and their creativity truly shone throughout the day. 📖🏰
