New beginnings…

As the summer term comes to an end, we’ve said some special goodbyes to little ones moving on to their next adventures.

Now, as the autumn term begins, we’re excited to welcome new little faces and see some familiar ones joining us for additional sessions.

Today also marks the start of establishing a new daily routine — walking to and from nursery next week when the gates reopen. Learning new routines, building independence and making those everyday moments part of our learning.

Here’s to a new term filled with new beginnings, new friendships, adventures and lots of learning along the way!

🎓 This week we have been celebrating more Graduations ! 🎓✨

One little one is getting ready to take the exciting next step into nursery, while another is continuing her journey by extending her nursery hours. 💕

It’s such a special privilege to watch the children grow, flourish and become ready for their next big adventure. 🌈

And as we say goodbye to one chapter, we get to open another… 💕✨

Next week I will be welcoming two new little ladies to my setting, ready to begin their very own journeys with me. 🥰 I’m so excited to get to know them, watch them grow and create lots of wonderful memories together.

Wishing all my little learners lots of happiness, confidence and exciting new experiences as they continue to learn, grow and explore.

What a wonderful week we’ve had at our Teddy Bears’ Picnic!

Despite the ever-changing weather, our teddy bear adventures were a huge success. Around here, the weather never gets in our way—it simply becomes part of the learning and adds a little extra excitement to our day!

Whether we were enjoying a picnic outdoors or moving the fun indoors, the children’s imaginations ran free as they cared for their favourite teddies, shared pretend picnics, poured endless cups of tea and created their own magical adventures. Along the way, we enjoyed sharing bear-themed stories, sparking conversations, building language and communication skills, and encouraging the children to listen, ask questions and share their own ideas.

Most importantly, these special moments were filled with laughter, friendships and happy memories.

At Karli’s Childminding Little Learners, we believe every day is an opportunity to discover, create and explore… whatever the weather! 🌦️🐝

🌧️ Down came the rain… so indoors went the picnic! 🧸🧺

The weather may have changed, but our teddy bears didn’t mind one bit! We simply brought the picnic indoors and carried on with our adventures. After all, it’s not where the picnic takes place that matters—it’s the fun, laughter and special memories we make together.

At Karli’s Childminding, we embrace every opportunity for play, whatever the weather. Today’s teddy bears are enjoying a cosy indoor picnic, sharing delicious pretend treats, pouring cups of tea and letting their imaginations lead the way. 🫖🐻✨

🧸Our Teddy Bears have arrived! 🧸

Today the children proudly brought their favourite teddies from home to share with their friends as part of our Teddy Bears’ Picnic.

Today’s stories included:
🐻 Goldilocks and the Three Bears
🐻 Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. & Eric Carle
🐻 Sneezy Bear by Neil Griffiths
🐻 It’s the Bear! by Jez Alborough

There’s something special about sitting down together to share a story. It gives us the chance to slow down, snuggle up with our favourite teddies and enjoy some quiet time together. As we read, the children naturally build their language and communication skills, develop their imagination and curiosity, and learn to listen, think and ask questions. Stories also help children explore emotions, build confidence and create wonderful conversations with their friends. Most importantly, these shared moments help create happy memories and nurture a lifelong love of books in a warm, relaxed and home-from-home environment 🧸

🧸 Today’s the day the Teddy Bears have their Picnic! 🧺✨

My garden has been transformed into a magical Teddy Bears’ Picnic, ready for a day full of laughter, imagination and outdoor adventures.

The children will enjoy:
Teddy Bear’s Picnic
Picnic role play
Preparing and sharing picnic food
Teddy-themed small world play
Teddy bear number challenges
Creative activities
Songs, stories and plenty of teddy cuddles!

At Karli’s Childminding Little Learners, I believe children learn best through play. Today’s activities will encourage communication, confidence, imagination, friendships and early mathematical thinking, all whilst creating special childhood memories.

I can’t wait to watch their adventures throughout the day! ❤️
