It is halfway through the year so I thought I should pop in and introduce myself to those that are new here and thank you for following.
A warm welcome to you all. My name is Samantha or as others call me Mrs Positivity, as no matter what life throws at me I can always bounce back up and live joyfully.

For so long I masked how I was feeling from family, friends and the outside world as I thought it was keeping me safe, but in fact it was holding me back and making me ill.
I suffered with anxiety, overwhelm, comfort eating, physical tension/aches and disturbed sleep but after helping myself through the various Energy Techniques (Emotional Freedom Technique/Matrix Reimprinting, Meditation, Reiki, Spiritual Development), and Mindset Skills I have learned over the past 16 years I am now passionate about helping others remove the and to get them to a place of peace, confidence and joy.
I have also experienced a lot of loss and bereavement so I trained to be a Grief and Bereavement Counsellor and did Specialist Grief Training in EFT and support those who are going through bereavement or loss of any kind providing a safe space to journey from a place of pain to a place of peace.
I have two amazing grown up children, three fur babies and a wonderful husband who has shared my journey. I love being outside in and every day I am out walking the beautiful countryside or on the beach here in Devon.

Have you ever considered placing yourself at the forefront of your to-do list?
Often, we find ourselves prioritising others over our own needs, leading to overwhelming feelings and potential burnout. I have certainly experienced this especially with my people pleasing hat on! However, I learnt that hard way that it is crucial to recognise that prioritising self-care isn't selfish—it is essential for our overall well-being. By tending to our own needs first, we become better equipped to care for others as we have more energy, our mind is calmer and we are able to think more clearly.
What can you do for yourself today?
If you haven't already, grab your diary and schedule some ‘time out’ just for you each day. Often we feel guilty taking time out when there is so much to do but we all deserve a break! Start with just 5 minutes today, then gradually increase to 10 minutes tomorrow, and so on. Maybe make a list of what self-care looks like for you as it is different for everyone. Some of my favourite time out is sitting down with a cuppa in nature and listening to the birds singing, curling up with a book, taking a bath, walking on the beach, taking myself out to a local café – the list is endless.

It is World Ocean Day
So grateful to live so close to the sea, it is my go to place to rest and recharge. I am lucky to be able to enjoy walks with the dogs and family on the different beaches close by or just sit and let the sound of the ocean soothe my soul.

Life has a way of moving at lighting speed and amidst our busy schedules we often forget to acknowledge our achievements so I invite you to pause, reflect and celebrate your wins, no matter how small they may seem.

My week so far has consisted of long drives in bad weather which resulted in cuddles with Oona on Monday and teaching Reiki 1 yesterday 😍. So this morning I pressed pause and had a slow start with a cuppa and a book before heading out for a walk with the dogs between the rain 🌧
This afternoon is some admin, a home visit for two of my lovely clients and then yoga.
Tomorrow is clinic time at VitaliQi and Friday is afternoon networking with The West Country Women Awards .
