Supporting children with PDA means reducing pressure, not increasing it 🤍
It’s about giving control, building trust and meeting them where they are.
They’re not giving us a hard time—they’re having a hard time ✨

💬 Love getting messages like this!
It’s so rewarding to see the difference a few tutoring sessions can make. ✨

I’m now offering small group tutoring sessions at a reduced price per child (£25 each).
These work especially well for children who already know each other — friends, classmates, or children from the same school — giving them extra support together in a relaxed, fun environment.
Group sessions help children feel more confident and motivated while still getting plenty of individual guidance.
Benefits of group tutoring:
• Reduced cost per child
• Builds confidence and motivation
• Encourages discussion and teamwork
• Engaging, interactive activities
• Support tailored to the group’s needs
If this sounds like a good fit for your child and their friends or classmates, feel free to get in touch to chat about how it works and availability.

Learning times tables through play today! 🎲
We’re preparing for the Year 4 Multiplication Check with a fast-paced multiplication game — lots of quick thinking, hands-on learning and a little friendly competition.
Making maths active and fun helps facts stick far more than worksheets alone!

Building strong 11+ verbal reasoning skills✏️
One of the key skills we focus on is synonyms and closest meaning — helping pupils expand their vocabulary and learn to spot subtle differences between words.
In this session we practised identifying the word that is closest in meaning to the target word, discussing why some options are similar but not quite right. This kind of thinking helps pupils become more confident, accurate readers while preparing them for 11+ style questions.
It’s not just about knowing lots of words — it’s about understanding them deeply. 📚

Many children don’t struggle with ability — they struggle with confidence, timing and exam technique.
Year 6 SATs can feel overwhelming and a little targeted 1:1 support can make a big difference.
Focused gap-filling.
Clear strategies.
Calm reassurance.
Because preparation builds confidence — and confident children perform better.

Today’s home education project: Designing our own island 🌍✨
We combined geography, maths and creative writing to build a brand-new island from scratch — complete with a map, natural resources and even its own culture!
I love creating topic-based sessions that spark imagination while developing real academic skills. The best learning happens when children feel inspired and in control of their ideas 💛
