🐟 What a Wednesday for Class 6B!

Our pupils headed inside the famous Brixham Fish Market, getting an up‑close look at a huge variety of fish 🐠 and crustaceans 🦞 — a brilliant real‑world learning experience.

Afterwards, we strolled over to Breakwater Beach for some pebble‑skimming fun, a relaxed lunch, and of course… ice cream to finish the day 🍦😄

🛋️🏠 11C Enjoyed a Well-Deserved Life Skills Trip to IKEA! 🇸🇪✨

Our 11C students recently enjoyed a well-deserved Life Skills trip to IKEA! As a tutor group that has been together for many years and will soon be leaving school, they planned a special trip to reflect on their futures.

The students explored the showroom, designed their dream kitchens 🏡 and thought about what their future homes might look like.

And, of course, no IKEA trip would be complete without enjoying some traditional Swedish meatballs for lunch! 🍴😋

A lovely day filled with planning, independence and memories. ❤️

Torquay teacher wins national food education award live on ITV's This Morning A Torquay teacher who transformed a school café into a thriving learning environment for pupils with special educational needs has won a national food education award after being surprised live on ITV's This Morning.

We are absolutely thrilled to celebrate the amazing achievement of Arthur Hawkesworth, whose dedication, passion and commitment to our young people has been recognised on national television! 🎉👏

Today, Arthur received the prestigious Jamie Oliver Food Educator Award, presented by Mark Wright during a live broadcast from the Yellow Frog Cafe. What a fantastic recognition of the life-changing work taking place every day at our school! 🏆✨

We are immensely proud of Arthur and all of our pupils who make The Yellow Frog Café such a welcoming, vibrant and inspiring place to learn.

A massive congratulations to our Year 11s (and all students completing exams) — it was the last English paper today, and you’ve absolutely smashed it!

⚽🏅 Girls’ Football Festival Champions! 🏅⚽

Yesterday, some of our Year 7 and 8 girls travelled to Coach Road to take part in an exciting Girls’ Football Festival! 🌟

The day began with a round robin of football activities, helping the girls develop their skills in shooting ⚽, defending 🛡️, attacking 🚀, passing 🎯 and dribbling 👟.

After lunch, the team took part in a short tournament against other schools, finishing in an impressive 1st! 🥇 👏

Most importantly, the girls had so much fun, showed fantastic teamwork and sportsmanship, and were delighted to receive their medals at the end of the day! 🏅😊

Well done to everyone involved – you represented the school brilliantly! 💙⚽

All our pupils have the chance to grab a bacon sandwich before their exam — the perfect brain‑boosting breakfast! 💪📚
