π»π§Ί After School Teddy Bear Picnic Fun! π§Ίπ»
Our After School Club children enjoyed the first Teddy Bear Picnic of the term this week! Although the weather had other plans, we didnβt let that stop the fun.
Instead, we set up camp in the dining room, where our children and their cuddly teddy bear friends enjoyed a wonderful indoor picnic together. π§Έβ¨
A big well done to all our picnic-goers for bringing such enthusiasm and helping make our first Teddy Bear Picnic a great success, whatever the weather! ββ€οΈ

Today, we were delighted to welcome representatives from Taylor Wimpey to our school for Aspiration Day with Year 6.
Members of the Taylor Wimpey team spoke to the children about their different job roles, what their work involves day-to-day, and the many career opportunities within the industry. Our Year 6 pupils asked some fantastic questions and showed great curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the sessions.
A huge thank you to the Taylor Wimpey staff for giving up their time to inspire our pupils and help broaden their understanding of future career pathways. It was a valuable and engaging experience for all involved!

π’π Year 6 Reward Trip to Crealy Adventure Park ππ’
What a fantastic day our Year 6 children had on Friday at Crealy Adventure Park! π
This special reward trip was thoroughly deserved after all of their hard work, determination, and resilience during their SATs preparation and throughout SATs week itself. We are incredibly proud of the positive attitude and perseverance they have shown every step of the way. πͺβ¨
The children enjoyed an action-packed day filled with laughter, excitement, rides, and unforgettable memories with their friends. It was wonderful to see everyone relaxing and celebrating together after such a busy and important week. π
The teachers also had a brilliant time joining in the fun, with many bravely taking on the rides alongside the children! π’π It was lovely to share so many smiles, laughs, and special moments together as a year group.
A huge well done to all of Year 6 β you should be very proud of yourselves! ππ

SATs are an important event for Y6 teachers, and for children, across the country. Lots of dedication, time and effort is spent preparing for these assessments and supporting children to feel positive about their own abilities.
However, your childrenβs SATs results are not a reflection of your impact as a teacher. SATs are a snapshot across one week and for many children, showing their knowledge in a test format is incredibly challenging.
Over the course of a school year, you make an impact every single day in your classroom in all sorts of ways. Educationally of course, but also emotionally, helping children develop the skills they will need for the future. You bring your own knowledge and unique experiences to your classroom and although thatβs not something thatβs easily measurable, itβs just as important.
