Over the course of this week we had Rosie from Newton Abbot Face Painting at school working tirelessly to get round and face paint the children who were at school!
She did an amazing job and all children came away so happy with their face paint.
We want to say a massive thank you to Rosie for volunteering her time and resources to support our school community. π
It would be great if we could help a local business out;
If you enjoyed Rosie's skills recently, would you kindly leave her a review on her page and/or Google? It'll help raise her profile!

Year 6 Leavers π
As another year draws to a close, we sadly say goodbye to our wonderful Year 6 pupils.
This group of children has demonstrated resilience, kindness, humour and determination throughout their time at Watcombe Primary School. They have been excellent role models for our younger children and have contributed enormously to school life.
We are incredibly proud of all that they have achieved during their final year at primary school. This includes the excellent progress many children have made across the curriculum, their success in achieving the Civic Award, their enthusiastic representation of the school at numerous sporting events, and their achievements in the End of Key Stage 2 National Curriculum Tests. These accomplishments reflect not only their academic abilities but also their commitment, perseverance and positive attitudes to learning.
Their final weeks have been full of celebration. They thoroughly enjoyed planning and delivering their Leavers' Assembly, sharing memories and achievements with families and staff. They have also enjoyed working their way through their much-anticipated Year 6 Bucket List activities, creating some final special moments together before moving on.
As they begin the next chapter of their education, we want them to remember that success comes not only from talent but from kindness, perseverance and the courage to keep trying when things become difficult.
To all of our Year 6 children, thank you for your contributions to Watcombe Primary School. We are incredibly proud of you and all that you have achieved. We wish you every success and happiness in secondary school and beyond.
Good luck, Year 6 β we know you will go on to do amazing things. π

πA Special Thank You to Our Amazing Team at Watcombe Primary π
As we come to the end of another fantastic school year, we'd like to take a moment to say a huge thank you to every member of staff at Watcombe Primary.
Our teachers, teaching assistants, office staff, caretaker, catering staff, cleaners, lunchtime supervisors and everyone who works behind the scenes have all played a part in making our school a happy, safe and inspiring place for our children to learn, grow and succeed.
We know that the care, dedication and encouragement shown by our staff every single day makes a lasting difference, and we're incredibly proud of the whole Watcombe Primary team.
Let's finish the school year by sharing some kindness and celebrating the amazing people who make our school community so special. πβ¨

π Year 3/4 Residential Update π
Our Year 3/4 children arrived safely late this morning and wasted no time getting stuck into their first exciting activities!
One group took on the challenge of the high ropes, while also enjoying team-building activities that encouraged great communication, cooperation and teamwork.
Meanwhile, the Year 4 children got suited up for some fun-filled water activities... although it's fair to say they didn't quite enjoy getting the wetsuits on! π Once they were in, though, they were ready for the adventure!
The children enjoyed a sunny picnic lunch together and are now looking forward to a hearty dinner this evening before taking part in some light evening activities.
More updates will follow, keep an eye on our page π
