Maths Revision Matrix!
Mindmaps can be fun, but often unproductive. Students tend to use them as a way of feeling like they are revising yet actually, they're just colouring in! Of course they do have their place and are beneficial to the right students, but be careful WHAT kind of revision you're spending your precious time on!
Textbooks are boring... you have to admit 🤣 They take ages reading and often don't have the opportunity to practise what you've learnt. At Jesse's Tutoring we will NEVER just ask a student to read a chapter from a book... that's no fun!!!
Past papers are EXCELLENT however. They can be Time Consuming and boring (they're tests after all) but I placed these further from the bottoms as they are a legitimately good source of practise in Maths. I mean, you're quite honestly practising the real thing! They identify weak spots and help you grow massively.
Pre-made flash cards... 🤮
I'm sorry, but I genuinely think these are a waste of money... hence being so expensive AND boring. Part of the benefit of flash cards is the creation process. You have to find the information and condense it down into the key points you find to be worthwhile remembering. You also practise HOW you're going to remember it in the exam. You may have a different method to the Flash Card company and that's great! They are not one-size fits all.
