A grade English tuition provides one to one tuition in Secondary English & English Literature at Key Stage 3, GCSE and A level. I'm Rachel Fisher and I am a fully qualified, enhanced CRB checked, secondary school teacher of English with 12 years of experience, teaching in Plymouth, Exeter and Torbay. I have an honours degree from Plymouth University, a PGCE qualification from Exeter University and I am currently studying for a Masters degree with the University College of St Mark and St John, Plymouth. Studying English at a higher level can be a real challenge. Get help with coursework and exam skills. All tutoring is specifically tailored to meet the needs of the individual to determine strengths, weaknesses and to set targets to progress. Lessons are interesting and engaging, ensuring that students develop the skills to become confident and independent learners. A variety of activities and resources are used including written exercises, reading responses, controlled assessment preparation and practice exams to encourage attainment. Tuition is usually provided on a one to one basis at my own home in Torquay; in a purposeful and quiet learning environment without distractions. However, I am able to travel to students homes in the Torbay area if required. Tutoring sessions usually last for 1 hour, although other time arrangements can be made.
