LIFETIME HONORARY MEMBERSHIP - alert 1!

We’re delighted to announce that Rick McAuley has been granted lifetime honorary membership. Rick is a living legend at the club, one of the longest serving members of the team.

For (ahem) a ‘small’ number of years (edit: decades!) which reflect the fact he has taught 3 generations of the same family on several occasions (!), he has been a leading instructor and committee member.

You might well have seen him teaching in all weathers, or opining that a biblical downpour and near typhoon winds are perfect conditions for skiing on the slope, but his value to the club goes far further than that, bringing solutions to committee meetings and as the overall maintenance manager where amongst many improvements, he devised and built the sprinkler system which was previously deemed unaffordable.

Every club needs and deserves a Rick and we are immensely grateful to have the Mark 1 model, the OG and to say thankyou, for the many years of service given, and those to come.

Andrew Keating — A legendary figure following in the footsteps of another icon to our club and now the Chris Tonge Cup winner. Andrew’s return as an instructor (along with supplying 3 instructors and racers from his own family), his dedication to the club and our racing world means he is a very worthy and popular winner of the trophy!
