Dare to re-connect.
TBGS are delighted to invite past students to the Torquay Grammarians Alumni Reunion on Saturday 4 July at 6pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with old school friends and see how the school has evolved over the years.
We are also pleased to confirm that Brendon Prince will be our Guest Speaker - former TBGS Head of House, PE teacher, and Founder of Above Water. His talk is sure to be fascinating, especially ahead of his next challenge, The Long Row.
Deadline for ticket purchases is Weds 24 July so book today! www.tbgs.co.uk/whats-on.

Dare to inspire others.
Year 12 IB students demonstrated creativity and leadership as they worked with 7B and 7D in their Theory of Knowledge and Philosophy lessons. Tasked with trying to teach something from their IB course to Year 7 - using only metaphor and analogy - there were plenty of models, posters and sweets in use...for entirely academic purposes!

Dare to see what your future could look like.
Our GCSE PE pupils had a fantastic opportunity last week at the University of Exeter. After an inspiring tour of the cutting‑edge labs at the St Luke’s Campus, students took part in three exceptional workshops.
They tested their maximal power output in the Wingate test, created bespoke energy gels in the Nutrition Kitchen, and investigated electrical muscle stimulation.
The visit gave our pupils real insight into future pathways — from elite sport performance to public health careers. A massive thank you to and stlukes_exeter for an unforgettable experience!

Dare to spark an idea
Jonathan (Year 7) and Alfred (Year 8) have launched an inspiring initiative to encourage more birds into the school grounds and to involve students in birdwatching.
This morning, they delivered an excellent assembly to Year 7 to introduce our new House Bird Box Scheme. They shared detailed information about the decline in bird populations and the species currently found around the school. Each class will now nominate 4–6 students to work with Jonathan and Alfred to decide where their house bird box will be placed. The bird boxes each have cameras which can be accessed remotely so boys will be able to monitor bird visits.
Our thanks to for sponsoring the bird boxes in house colours.
