St Margaret's Academy
Our school values (kindness, respect, responsibility and aspiration) are an essential point of reference on all of our journeys.
British values (democracy, rule of law, liberty and respect) play an equally important role.

Forest School Fun This Week
This week in Forest School, the children had a fantastic time enjoying outdoor learning and hands-on experiences. On Wednesday, they especially loved making chocolate cake inside oranges cooked on the fire!
The activity was full of excitement as the children prepared their ingredients, learned about fire safety, and watched their cakes cook in the embers. It was a wonderful way to build practical skills, teamwork, and confidence – and the end result was delicious too!

🌊 Year 4 Making a Difference for Our Oceans! 🌍
Year 4 at St Margaret’s Academy have been incredibly busy trying to change the world! As part of our recent writing unit, the children explored the impact of pollution in our oceans and created powerful posters and information boards to educate others and inspire change. Their class teacher is extremely proud of the passion, care and determination they have shown.
Not only are we sharing these amazing posters on our school website, but we are delighted to share that their work has also been sent to Greenpeace UK and Surfers Against Sewage in the hope it can be shared more widely to raise awareness of this extremely important cause. Watch this space… 🌍💙
A huge well done to Year 4 for using their voices to make a positive difference to the world we live in!

We at St Margaret’s are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated and hardworking PTA, who continually go above and beyond to raise funds throughout the year. Their efforts help ensure that all of our children can enjoy enriching experiences and opportunities beyond the classroom.
Over the past 12 months alone, the PTA has supported and provided so much, including first aid training, the Year 6 common room, a woodland den redesign, new playground markings, a whole-school cinema trip, Santa’s grotto with a gift for every child, sports day refreshments, Easter bingo, the summer fayre, as well as numerous discos and cake sales.
Much of this simply wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of our local Tesco stores. Danny and Mark are truly committed to supporting their community and consistently go above and beyond -whether that’s donating Easter eggs and food items, providing gifts for the Christmas grotto, helping at the summer fayre, assisting with Christmas lunches, or even judging competitions.
They are a fantastic asset to our PTA and wider school community, and we are incredibly grateful.
Thank you, Danny, Mark, and all the Tesco team, for your continued support 💙
