Okay, I may be a sucker for a gimmick, but how cute?! I LOVE this šŸ’– why don’t more cups show me pretty pictures? šŸ˜

Will I go through my budget or my energy levels first in my latest Ā£100 West End challenge? šŸŽ

Some people go to London for a relaxing weekend.

I approached it the way I approach most things in life: with excessive enthusiasm, questionable planning and a refusal to acknowledge limitations of the laws of time and space when it comes to my itinerary.

But was it worth it? Duh! If you’re travelling all the way to London, surely it’s a case of go hard or go home?

Would you rather see one premium show or maximise your theatre-per-pound ratio? šŸ‘€ and drop your theatre recommendations in the comments šŸ™Œ

Spent the weekend in London on a date with my favourite person…me 😌

Do you recognise the shows I managed to see? If you’ve seen them let me know what you thought because I was VERY surprised by some of these productions…and not always in a good way 😳

Ad | Wye read about history when you can visit it? šŸ“ššŸ°

As a history teacher, I love finding places where history isn’t confined to a museum - it’s woven into the streets, buildings and landscapes around you.

That’s exactly what I found in Ross-on-Wye.

Known as the birthplace of British tourism, this historic market town is packed with stories. From medieval market halls and ancient churches to the dramatic ruins of Goodrich Castle, there’s history around every corner.

So if you love discovering the stories behind the places you visit, Ross-on-Wye might just deserve a place on your travel list.

Have you visited before, or have I just given you an idea for your next weekend away?

Ad | Steal my Ross-on-Wye-tinerary šŸ“

If you’ve seen my reel and thought ā€œokay, but what would I actually DO there?ā€ then this one’s for you.

I’ve put together my exact weekend itinerary, including:
ā˜• Independent cafĆ©s including the famous Jacaranda Latte
šŸ›ļø Local shops and markets
šŸ° One of the best-preserved castles in England
🚶 Riverside walks and heritage trails
šŸ½ļø My favourite places to eat
šŸ›ļø Where I stayed

Because I spent an entire weekend doing the research so you don’t have to.

From riverside coffee stops and independent shops to medieval castles, local food and surprisingly gorgeous views, here’s exactly how I’d spend 48 hours in Ross-on-Wye.

The full itinerary is in the slides šŸ‘‰

Save this for later and tell me: are you Team ā€œpack the itinerary fullā€ or Team ā€œfind a cafĆ© and see what happensā€?

AD Ross-on-Wye have I never visited before?!

I’ve been teaching about the Wye Valley and the Marcher Earls for years and I’d vaguely heard of Ross-on-Wye, but somehow it had never made it onto my ever-growing travel list.

After a weekend of independent cafĆ©s, historic streets, riverside walks, local markets and one of my favourite castles I’ve visited in England, I’m now questioning why it took me so long to get here!

If you’re looking for a UK weekend break that’s packed with history, good food and beautiful scenery, this might just be your sign.

Have you been to Ross-on-Wye before?

Ad I wanted the French holiday aesthetic…without the actual France logistics šŸ‡«šŸ‡·šŸš¢

So instead of heading to the airport, I packed up the car, boarded a ferry from Poole and spent a few days exploring Jersey.

What surprised me most wasn’t the destination (although Jersey definitely delivered on the sea views, castles, cafĆ©s and ice cream šŸ¦), it was how much I enjoyed the journey itself.

The holiday started the moment we boarded the ferry.

Did you know about this route? Save this video for next time you want a staycation that feels light on the stay, and heavy on the vacation!

Probably my most asked questionā€¦ā€œBut who takes your photos when you travel alone?ā€ šŸ“ø

So here are a few tricks I’ve picked up after years of travelling solo. If you’ve ever avoided taking photos because you’re travelling alone, feeling awkward about asking strangers, or convinced everyone else magically has their own personal photographer… this one’s for you.

Save this for your next trip āœˆļø

And if you’ve got any other solo travel questions, drop them below. Chances are if you’re wondering it, somebody else is too šŸ‘‡
