Yesterday, some of our keen readers and writers went to the Exploding Words Festival at Sterts. They had workshops from Zohra Nabi, Tom Palmer and Martin Brown, illustrator of the Horrible Histories books 😁 It was all very inspiring 📚
They had a fantastic day and were a credit to the school - asking super questions, absorbing themselves in each workshop and showing great respect. Thank you Sterts Arts and Environmental Centre. 🙏

What a brilliant Alternative Sports Day — from Kinball and archery to table tennis, ultimate frisbee, Island Attack and Capture the Flag. Huge thanks to Areana and the Dartmoor School Sports Partnership for running such a fantastic day.

From freezing temps to future heights — what a day!

Archie, Alma, Ben and Billy had a brilliant time at the Marjons University Sport Science Lab, exploring how their bodies reacted at –10°C and calculating their future adult height. Thank you to the Marjons team for such a great experience.

What a day for the football fanatics of the Rame Federation!

Our pupils had the ultimate behind‑the‑scenes tour of Wembley Stadium — from walking through the players’ tunnel to standing pitch‑side where legends have made history. The excitement was off the charts, and every mile of the journey was absolutely worth it.

A huge well done to all the children for their brilliant behaviour and enthusiasm. Memories made, dreams sparked, and plenty of future football stars inspired. ⚽

Fourlanesend welcomed Millbrook School for a friendly netball derby — and what a pair of matches they were.

Fourlanesend took the first win, Millbrook came back strong in the second, and both teams showed brilliant teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout.

A huge well done to all the players, staff and supporters who made it such a positive, good‑humoured event. This is what our community is all about.

Last term, Tamar Class designed and built their own electrical eco‑cars as part of our whole‑school topic, “Are we destroying the planet?” The grand finale? Testing them at top speed down the school corridor. Zooms, crashes and plenty of laughter — our engineers absolutely loved it. 🏎️

Inspired by Miss Gillespie and Mr Webb smashing the London Marathon, we launched our own mini marathon — five laps around our beautiful school grounds. Big effort, big smiles and brilliant determination, even from our youngest pupils. Well done Team FLE 💙.

Our gifted pupils from Fourlanesend and Carbeile Junior School teamed up at the Jackson Foundation Gallery in St Just to create a bold, explosive bio‑blast artwork inspired by the local landscape. Big colour, big ideas, brilliant teamwork. Thank you for the wonderful opportunity.
