Hillview School is delighted to celebrate another year of excellent GCSE results, recognising the hard work, resilience and determination of our Year 11 students.
This year, an impressive 163 students, representing 72% of the cohort, achieved grades 4 or above in both English and Mathematics, providing a strong foundation for future study and employment. This success was echoed across the wider curriculum, with 169 students (75% of the cohort) achieving five or more grades at 4 or above, highlighting the depth and consistency of student achievement. In addition, 79% (76% in 2025) of all GCSE entries were awarded a grade 4 or above, significantly exceeding the national figure of 67.3%. This underlines the great success of our students this year in light of the national picture of falling levels of 4+ grades.
These outstanding results reflect the commitment our students have shown throughout their studies. Their perseverance, ambition and dedication have enabled them to overcome challenges and achieve success across a broad range of subjects.
We are particularly proud of the many students who achieved the highest grades. This year, 116 students (51.5% of the cohort) secured at least one grade 7-9 (or equivalent), demonstrating exceptional achievement and academic excellence across the curriculum.
These results are a testament to the collective efforts of our students, staff and families. Our talented teachers and support staff have worked tirelessly to guide and encourage students throughout their journey, while parents and carers have provided invaluable support every step of the way.
At Hillview, we remain committed to providing a broad, ambitious and personalised curriculum that enables every student to realise their Pure Potential. Today’s results demonstrate not only academic success, but also the confidence, character and resilience that will support our students as they move on to the next stage of their education and future careers.
We would also like to recognise the remarkable achievements of those students who joined Hillview from overseas during their secondary education. Many of these students adapted to a new country, culture and education system while learning in an additional language, yet still went on to achieve outstanding GCSE outcomes. Their success is a powerful reflection of their determination, courage and hard work.
We congratulate all of our Year 11 students and wish them every success as they embark on the next exciting chapter of their lives.
