It consists of three sections:

Somerhill Pre-Prep (SPP) is the co-educational section for children aged 2 to 6. It feeds the other two sections. Derwent Lodge (DL) is for girls aged between 7 and 11. Yardley Court (YC) is for boys aged between 7 and 13. All three sections are housed in a Grade I listed Jacobean mansion and, whilst each section has its own classrooms, the vast facilities are share

Throughout the year, the Music Department gave pupils many opportunities to share their musical talents, from Christmas productions and services to concerts and senior school visits. Audiences were captivated by their performances, and we look forward to what next year will bring.

As forty of our new Year 6 pupils prepare for this year’s annual UKSA sailing trip, we reflect on last year’s memorable Trinity term residential to Dorset. The pupils enjoyed an exciting programme of activities, including coasteering, jumbo paddleboarding, bushcraft and a visit to a waterpark. Throughout the week, they approached every challenge with enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork, making the most of each opportunity. They were excellent company and represented the school superbly.

And just like that the academic year 25/26 has drawn to a close! Yesterday was the last day of term, which holds one of our favourite traditions, the Somerhill Leaver’s Car Parade. Our amazing outgoing parents and pupils make their last school pick-up extra special by decorating their cars and driving by one last time, as staff cheer them on to their next stage. What a year, we wish you all a fantastic summer and can’t wait for 26/27!!!
