All parents of Hillview students are automatically Friends of Hillview School Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Whilst lots of parents get involved in different activities throughout the year, there is a core team of around ten parents who divide up the different activities amongst themselves. They have a treasurer, secretary, events coordinators and other roles. The Parent Teacher Association is
formed of a group of parents whose daughters are currently working their way through the school. Members have daughters in all year groups who are studying all of the subjects on offer at Hillview, so they have a good insight into the school. The PTA have decided to invest a little of their spare time to try and enhance studentsโ experiences in school. The PTA has raised thousands of pounds to help equip the students in a number of ways. The latest and biggest purchase was to help with the provision of the school minibus. They were also instrumental in equipping the gym for the students and teachers to use before and after school. The covered seating area was one of the first successes and we have responded to the requests from the faculty for equipment for the Duke of Edinburgh awards participation. This is just the high profile purchases. The next project is to assist with the regeneration of the library and work through the โshopping listโ that will come with that. We would very much like to encourage your support for the initiatives we have, whether it be a full member or just someone we can call upon to man a stall at the Christmas Frost Fair. Membership involves sparing as much time as parents can, to help with initiatives throughout the year. Nothing is mandatory and we are all so very grateful for all the help we can give as it truly benefits the school
