We’re looking for an enthusiastic Kindergarten Room Lead to join our wonderful Early Years team at Hilden Oaks.

Welcome back Hilden Oaks.

Today, we are also delighted to welcome our new families into the Hilden Oaks community and are excited to launch our theme for the year; 10% Braver.

This week is all about settling in, reconnecting with friends, making new ones and finding the confidence to try something new; whether that’s stepping into a new classroom, having a go at something unfamiliar or simply feeling brave enough to put your hand up.

For many of our children, starting with us in Nursery means that by Reception they already feel at home at Hilden Oaks. Knowing many of the adults and having lots of friends, help them make the confident step into full school days from day one, feeling happy, secure and ready to learn.

Welcome to the new school year, with new adventures and plenty of opportunities to be 10% Braver.

Did you visit us at the fantastic Tonbridge Lions Community Fête?

We loved being part of this year’s Sport for All celebration, meeting so many wonderful children, parents, and members of our local community.

It was brilliant to see so many of you taking on our games!

Congratulations to everyone who earned a place on our leaderboard!

It was also a pleasure to meet the new Mayor of Tonbridge & Malling, Cllr Kim Tanner, enjoy the incredible rhythms of Bloco Fogo, and Tonbridge Soul Choir, and chat with so many inspiring local organisations, including Babons Cancer Support, who do such important work for people affected by cancer in our community.

A huge thank you to the Tonbridge Lions for organising another superb event. Their dedication to supporting local charities, bringing people together and creating opportunities for our community to connect makes such a positive difference. We’re grateful to have been part of it.

At Hilden Oaks, we believe learning extends beyond the classroom. Events like these are a wonderful opportunity to connect with local families, celebrate community spirit and share the values that make our school so unique.

A day to remember at Wimbledon!

Our pupils were completely engrossed from the first serve to the final point, watching world-class tennis at the All-England Club, with enthusiasm, curiosity and respect. The children were impeccably behaved throughout the day, representing our school with kindness, consideration and excellent manners.

At Hilden Oaks our small class sizes enable brilliant experiences beyond the classroom to inspire our children, helping them develop their passions, broaden their horizons and see where dedication, perseverance and courage can lead.

Days like these create memories, aspirations and values that last a lifetime..

What can children achieve with just £5?

Our Year 6 pupils proved that a little investment, plenty of creativity and a lot of determination can go a long way in the Young Enterprise Fiver Challenge.

Working in teams, they developed business ideas, wrote plans, created their own products, marketed them, managed sales and finances, and pitched to customers. Their hard work resulted in impressive profits, all of which were donated to 2 charities;

Opportunities like this help children develop entrepreneurial thinking, confidence, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving skills, preparing them for senior school and beyond.

At Hilden Oaks, we believe learning should inspire children to be curious, courageous and ready for the future.

What an outstanding achievement!

Congratulations to all 5 Hilden Oaks pairs who qualified for the Kent Tennis Championship Finals, competing against talented teams from across Kent and the London boroughs. We are delighted that one of our pairs has been crowned Kent Champions!

Sport plays an important role in helping children grow in confidence, developing resilience and teamwork skills, while creating opportunities to excel. At Hilden Oaks, we are proud to provide an environment where every child is encouraged to develop their talents, build strong character and achieve their personal best.
