🌿 Welcome to a New Nursery Year! 🌿

We hope you've all had a wonderful summer and will enjoy the last two weeks! ☀️

We are so excited to welcome both our returning and new families back to Saplings Rural Day Nursery & Preschool this September.

To help everyone get to know our team, here's our staff layout for the new academic year.

We would LOVE to welcome back Sian to our team- Sian was the Bunny Room leader previously and had to stop due to family commitments but has continued to help as Bank Staff. She will now be our Rabbit Room leader and we are very excited to have her back.

We would also love to give a big welcome to Lorna. Lorna is a qualified Early Years Teacher and has a huge amount of knowledge and experience of the EYFS. We know she is going to do wonderful things in our Badger Room.

Our lovely Dee has been off for a little while, but is still very much a part of our Saplings Team. She will be returning in the near future.

Our team has been carefully organised to ensure every child receives the highest quality of care, learning and support. We are incredibly excited for the year ahead and can't wait to create lots of wonderful memories together.

If your child is moving rooms, please don't worry, we'll be supporting them every step of the way to help them settle confidently into their new environment.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back very soon! 🌱💚

UPDATE

Hi everyone,
We have had a meeting with Dandara regarding the upcoming start of works on the new nursery building.

Unfortunately, we will be facing further disruption as the building will be going up next to our gardens.
To do this safely, they need to remove the existing fence and erect a new fence a little closer to the building.
Additionally, there will be scaffolding behind the new fence blocking the existing pathway from the 'new car park' to the Nursery door.
A new path has been made from the carpark round to the front entrance where you can still access, the front door, Rabbit's garden gate and Badger's garden gate. Bunny parents will have to use Rabbit's garden gate. The doorbell will be moved to the correct gate.

There will be safety mesh on all scaffolding so please be assured the children will be safe in the garden.

This will be starting from the 17th August. Whilst this is happening, the children will be using the 'front garden'

We are hoping for this to be a quick and smooth process to get our new wonderful building up and running.
Please be assured, your children's happiness and safety is always our main priority ♥️

Following careful consideration and ongoing monitoring of the weather forecast, we have made a decision regarding the remainder of this week.

We will open as usual at 7.45am tomorrow; however, we will be closing at 1.00pm.

Provided conditions remain manageable, we anticipate operating the same hours on Thursday and Friday. However, the wellbeing and safety of the children and staff must remain our priority. Should temperatures become excessively high or conditions unsafe, we may need to close for the full day. We will keep you informed should this become necessary.

To clarify, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, all children attending nursery will need to be collected by 1.00pm.

If you are able to make alternative arrangements and keep your child at home during this period, we would be extremely grateful. Reducing the number of children on site will help us to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for those who do attend.
