My name is Alexandra Lopez. I am from Venezuela and I have been living in England for the past 10 years. I studied Economics and worked within the financial sector before taking a career break to raise a family. I wanted a career that fitted my new lifestyle and that is why I've decided to become a Spanish tutor. I am still passionate about economics but even more about languages. I can also speak

Italian and could teach it at a basic level. Please just let me know what you would like to work on and I promise you will find it a very enjoyable experience. I am committed, very responsible and friendly.

Very interesting and there is no age limit to learn a new language. I learnt how to speak English on my late 20s and Italian few years after that. I'm still learning, it has opened lots of new doors, which is why I'm passionate about teaching Spanish! :-)

Research suggests we may be predisposed to speak more than one language, and that doing so brings health benefits, such as delaying the onset of dementia

"Your English for my Spanish"

If you would like to learn Spanish while helping me to improve my English, then we can do so while grabbing a cup of tea or coffee?
I need to focus on everyday conversational English as well as improving my pronunciation.

Is this something you may consider?

Spanish, also called Castilian, is a Romance language that originated in the Castile region of Spain and today has hundreds of millions of native speakers around the world. It is usually considered the world's second-most spoken native language, after Mandarin Chinese. Spanish is a part of the Ibero-Romance group of languages, which evolved from several dialects of Vulgar Latin in Iberia after the collapse of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century. The oldest Latin texts with traces of Spanish come from mid-northern Iberia in the 9th century, and the first systematic written use of the language happened in Toledo, then capital of the Kingdom of Castile, in the 13th century. Beginning in the early 16th century, Spanish was taken to the colonies of the Spanish Empire, most notably to the Americas, as well as territories in Africa, Oceania and the Philippines.
