We’re LIVE – and we need your support
After months of campaigning, conversations, and pushing for change, our petition to regulate home-based childcare has officially been approved by UK Parliament.
This is a huge step forward… but now the real work begins.
This campaign follows devastating cases where children have lost their lives while in home-based care. Our thoughts remain with those families, and we believe change is needed to help prevent future tragedies.
Right now in the UK, nannies, maternity nurses and tutors are not regulated.
That means:
– No mandatory DBS checks
– No consistent safeguarding standards
– No formal accountability
Yet these professionals are trusted with the most important thing in the world – our children.
We believe that has to change.
This petition calls on the Government to introduce proportionate, meaningful regulation for home-based childcare.
We are not calling for unnecessary red tape—but for sensible measures such as:
-Mandatory DBS checks
-Basic safeguarding requirements
-Clear standards to protect children and support professionals
Importantly, we believe any future framework should be shaped with nannies, not done to them.
If we reach:
👉 10,000 signatures – the Government must respond
👉 100,000 signatures – it can be debated in Parliament
Please take 30 seconds to sign and share. Every single signature matters.
