Language Larks - French and Spanish

I've been back to school! The teacher has become the student 😉 Spent a week at the fabulous Taronja Spanish School in lovely Valencia. Enjoyed the opportunity to brush up on my Spanish and got to speak quite a lot of French too with my new international friend group! Very proud of my certificate - check out all those 'excelentes' 😃

Two iconic landmarks of Madrid - the bear and the tree and kilometre zero where all Spanish roads are measured from. Both feature in the La Jolie Ronde programme where children learn history, geography and culture as well as the language.

In Madrid experiencing a lively and historic August street festival known as 'una verbena' The locals wearing traditional dress are known as Chulapos and Chulapas. I joined in with my very own flower 🌹

Lots of lovely end of year cards and gifts. Thank you all so much. It's great to be appreciated. I love what I do and it's wonderful to see children learn so much and enjoy it too. I was especially taken by this lovely letter written by Ella in Year 1. Ella's family have chosen Mallorca as their holiday destination this year so she can practise her Spanish. ¡Buenas vacaciones! 🏖😎

We hardly ever use screens in our French and Spanish clubs. This is possible with small group learning and is one of the things that differentiates our clubs from learning with a scheme of work in curriculum time. We also always include some movement and games to make learning interactive and fun :)
