In our last workshop we were inspired by our love for animals, as it's portrayed in ancient cultures and contemporary art. 🦊 🐈

Firstly we made of our favourite animal (unicorns of course count as animals! 🦄) and then we had a go playing with clay and making miniature

This was the first time that our young participants used clay! But they went straight for the challenge, and the results were beautiful! 💜

May this year be full of Love, Happiness and creativity.🎨

My name is Marianna and I am an artist running a Children's Art Club in Tonbridge, every Saturday morning. 👧🧒👦

If you wanted to try a new activity for your kids that would help them unleash their imagination and creativity while learning new artists and skills, give our Art Club a shot. 👩‍🎨👨‍🎨

Have you heard of the artist Marc Chagall?

Inspired by cubism, fauvism and dreams, Chagall created artworks in his own unique style.

Often, they feel like a dream. You can spot animals from his childhood memories flying in the sky, or acting like humans. 🐦 😺

Did you know that it's easy to see Chagall's works in person? All Saints Church in Tudeley has beautiful glass stained windows, made by Chagall in 1963! Swipe to the second slide to have a look. ⛪

I often use linoleum sheets to make prints for my own artistic practice, so it was very inspiring to teach the basics of printmaking to the kids

This was a very exciting and fun workshop for everyone, as you can see in the amazing results!

Painting with watercolours, while listening to classical music.
This was a relaxing and fun activity that allowed children to explore watercolours while linking colours to different emotions. 🖌️

We talked about how this is something personal for everyone.

Would you like to join us for a FREE taster art workshop? 🎨 If you didn't have the chance to book a taster session with us last summer, you can do so during this half-term 👩‍🎨👨‍🎨

The workshops will take place on:
Wednesday 25/10 4-5pm

Saturday 28/10 11am-12pm, in the 2nd Tonbridge Scouts Hall.

The age group of the Art Club is 6-11 years old, but if your child loves art we will welcome them!
