🌟 Our Small World Has Had a Makeover! 🌟

Molly has been busy revamping our small world area, creating some amazing new spaces for the children to explore! 🦖🚗

From a dinosaur world complete with an erupting volcano to a multi-level road and transport area, there are so many opportunities for imaginative play, storytelling and developing new play ideas. 🦕🌋🚙

We can’t wait to see where their imaginations take them! 💭✨

🚂🎨 Colour Train Creations! 🎨🚂

Our toddlers have been busy creating their own colourful trains by stamping with sponges! 🌈 They explored different colours and experimented with making marks and patterns.

A simple activity packed with learning, supporting colour recognition, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and creativity. 🧽✨

🚂 All aboard for some sensory fun! 🚂

Our babies had lots of fun exploring our cereal train tuff tray! 🌾🚆 They enjoyed pushing the trains around the track, scooping and exploring the different textures and using their imagination through play.

This activity is a lovely way to support fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory exploration and early imaginative play, all while having lots of fun! 💛✨

🌈 Tummy Time Fun! 🌈

Tummy time is so important for our babies’ development! 💕 It helps to strengthen their neck, shoulders, back and core muscles, supporting early physical milestones such as rolling, sitting and crawling.

Adding colourful lights makes tummy time even more exciting, encouraging our babies to look, reach, move and explore while developing their visual tracking and coordination. ✨👶

🧠✨ Busy Board Fun! ✨🧠

Our babies have loved exploring our busy board! Through turning, sliding, spinning, pulling and pressing, they have been developing lots of important early skills.

This hands-on play supports fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving and concentration, while encouraging curiosity and independence. 💕 It’s also a lovely opportunity for the children to explore cause and effect as they discover what happens when they move and manipulate the different parts.

So much learning through play! 🌟👏

🤖✏️ Coding, Problem Solving & Early Writing!

Our Preschool children have been exploring some fantastic learning opportunities using our programmable robot! 🌟

The children worked together to decide where they wanted the robot to travel, using the controls to give instructions and watching carefully to see what happened. Through this fun activity they were developing:

🧠 Problem-solving and critical thinking
➡️ Early coding skills, including sequencing and giving instructions
📍 Positional and directional language
🔢 Early maths skills through counting movements and judging distance
🤝 Communication, teamwork and turn-taking
✏️ Mark-making and early writing, creating pathways for the robot to follow
💭 Imagination and creativity as they planned different routes and ideas

A brilliant example of how technology can be introduced through play, encouraging children to plan, predict, test and adapt their ideas while having lots of fun! 🤖💡✨

🚗🎨 Making Marks in Different Ways! 🎨🚙

Who says we need paintbrushes to paint? The toddlers explored mark making in a different and exciting way, using toy cars to move, mix and spread the paint across the paper!

Offering lots of different ways to make marks encourages children to experiment, explore and use their imagination. 🌈 It also supports fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and early writing development as children discover the different lines, patterns and shapes they can create.

Activities like this give children the freedom to think creatively – there’s no right or wrong way, just lots of colourful, messy fun! 🥰🎨

🎒 Getting Ready for Starting School! 🏫✨

Starting school is a huge milestone and can bring lots of excitement, as well as a few nerves! There are some simple things you can do at home to help make the transition a little easier for your child. 💙

⏰ Keep a consistent daily routine
🚶 Practise the journey to school beforehand
💬 Talk positively with friends and family about starting school
❤️ Encourage your child to talk about how they’re feeling
🤝 Practise important social skills such as sharing and turn-taking

Building these little routines and skills now can help children feel more confident, independent and secure as they prepare for their exciting next adventure! 🌟
