📣 ARCH in Action: Shout Outs!

A big shout out to our Year 6 SEND students who took part in our ARCH Belong transition sessions.

It was fantastic to see confidence grow, new friendships begin to form, and everyone showing kindness, encouragement and a willingness to try something new. From working together on challenges to supporting one another, they embraced every activity with enthusiasm.

📸 One of the highlights was our spaghetti and marshmallow tower challenge, where teamwork, creativity and problem-solving were put to the test!

A wonderful example of our ARCH values in action. We can't wait to see these students become part of the THS community. 💙

There’s more to school than just the lessons. 📚

We asked our students what they’ve gained from their time at Tod High - from subjects they enjoy and opportunities they’ve taken, to growing in confidence and discovering what they’re capable of.

Because choosing the right school is about finding somewhere you can learn, grow and make the most of every opportunity.

Hear what our students had to say. 💬

📣 ARCH in Action: Shout Outs!

A special shout out to Junior and Sonny for helping spread some kindness across school when it was Thank a Teacher Day. 💙

Students took the time to write thank you notes to members of staff, sharing their appreciation for the people who support and encourage them every day. These were shared alongside some lovely treats, which were very gratefully received.

Thank you to everyone who got involved and helped celebrate the incredible staff who make our school community such a positive place to be. 👏

When you know a school from the inside, choosing it for your own child says a lot.

We spoke to members of staff who live out of area and chose Todmorden High School for their children. From the welcoming community to the pastoral care, opportunities and support, they shared what made Tod High feel like the right choice for their family.

For students travelling from further afield, finding the right school matters - and for these families, Tod High was worth the journey.

Results Day is almost here! 🎓

GCSE examination results can be collected from school on Thursday 20th August 2026, between 9.30am and 11:00am.

If you are unable to attend and someone else is collecting your results on your behalf, they must bring a signed note of consent from you. Without this, we will be unable to release your results.

Any results not collected on the day will be kept in the Exams Office and will be available for collection when the Autumn Term begins.

We’d like to wish all of our Year 11 students the very best of luck. Whatever your results, be proud of everything you’ve achieved and how far you’ve come.

We’re looking forward to seeing you on Thursday!

Why choose a school that isn’t the closest to home? 🏠

We asked some of our out-of-area students what made them choose Todmorden High School.

From family connections and recommendations to simply feeling like it was the right place for them, everyone has their own reason for choosing Tod High.

Hear what they had to say. 💬

🌍 A great day of learning beyond the classroom!

Back in July, our Year 10 EPR students, along with some Year 9 students who have chosen EPR as one of their options, enjoyed a fantastic trip exploring different faiths and places of worship.

The day included a visit to Madhyamaka Kadampa Meditation Centre, where students made prayer flags, learnt about Buddhist beliefs and daily life from a Buddhist nun, and took part in a guided meditation.

The group then headed to York Minster for a guided tour, giving students the chance to explore another important place of worship and see some of what they have been learning about in the classroom brought to life.

A brilliant day of learning, exploring and experiencing different traditions. 📚✨
