Happy Birthday to Nickki for this Sunday 🥳🥳🥳🥳

This week, we have been exploring the fascinating world of different jobs! Our imaginative play has been centred around a variety of professions, including mechanics, artists, chefs, builders, doctors, dentists, and farmers😊 The children really enjoyed discussing the importance of each job and what responsibilities come with them. We have let our imaginations run wild, adding more items and elements to enhance our play⭐️ Throughout the week, we have engaged in painting, setting up pretend restaurants, creating a big bus, and enjoying some colouring activities. Despite the rainy weather, we made the best of our time outdoors in the garden between showers☔️ It’s been wonderful to see their creativity flourish!

This week the children have had so much fun learning about how to stay safe in the sun☀️ they have had so much fun in the paddling pool, having water fights and also exploring which objects float or sink in the water😊 they showed great understanding of how to stay safe when it’s hot outside, helping the younger children put hats on and also having their sun cream applied! 💧 we spoke about what would happen and how we would feel if we didn’t wear hats and sun cream, understanding the importance of sun safety👏 what a great week full of fun and sun🤩

This week’s learning has been all about Safeguarding whilst focusing on the book ‘Pantosaurus and the power of pants’.🩲 The children all had amazing ideas on how to keep safe when we went out for a walk, pointing out all the hazards they could see‼️ they made some yummy biscuits and risk assessed as they went along, understanding what they can do independently and when they need an adults help🧑‍🍳 they had lots of fun decorating a heart, talking about who they love and who they will give it to using lots of different techniques with the materials🤩 during group times we spoke about the people in our lives that make us feel safe and who we go to for help, also speaking about other people that could help such as the police, doctors and teachers!😊

This week has been truly wonderful as the children explored the theme of imagination through the beloved book, ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’🐻 They had so much fun going on their own bear hunts, working together in groups, and recreating memorable moments from the story and using key phrases📚 The creativity flowed as they used food to make their own bears and enjoyed painting and collaging. We wrapped up the week with an exciting bear hunt around the nursery, where the children joyfully retraced the steps of the story! Everyone had so much fun! 🎉

This week has been all about caring for our lovely environment! 🌍 The children have enjoyed taking walks around the village, where we’ve been collecting litter and ensuring it goes into the bin. It’s wonderful to see them so engaged in discussions about why it’s important to keep our planet clean, as we talked about the effects of rubbish left on the ground or in the sea 🌊 We also had a fun time making rice crispy cakes that look just like our planet, using vibrant shades of blue and green. The children loved expressing their creativity through painting and colouring, creating beautiful pictures that capture their thoughts😊Plus, we used items from our own recycling to build imaginative junk models and included them in our play with animals. It has truly been a lovely week of learning together!⭐️

What a lovely week we have had at Little Angels, it has been so so wonderful to see some of the school children come back to us for the holidays to have a week of fun together before school starts again! This week we have been learning all about bugs and insects! We have enjoyed a large variety of activities from nature walks through the woods and trips to the farm, lots of messy play painting, baking and building insect dens in the garden! We also loved taking part in lots of learning - being able to identify different bugs and talking about where they live and what they eat too! 🥰🐞🐛🐜

What a lovely, short week we have had, getting all ready for the Easter celebrations! We have enjoyed making lots of gorgeous crafts from gluing and sticking to painting and drawing! We have designed our own Easter eggs, explored lots of sensory tuff trays, played games with our friends and worked as a team to complete an Easter egg hunt around the nursery! The children have also loved making lots of delicious treats from biscuits to cupcakes and spending majority of our days enjoying the spring sunshine! Happy Easter everyone!🥚🍰🥰🎨

Happy Friday! 🥰 It’s the end of another lovely week at Little Angels and the children have enjoyed reading our new book of the week ‘Alan’s big, scary teeth’ and learning all about how to clean our teeth healthy and clean! We have enjoyed lots of circle time throughout this week, talking about which foods are for for our teeth and which are not so and helping the adults to create lots of yummy, healthy snacks during the day! 🍓We have done lots of painting this week, using toothbrushes to aid our exploration, creating different marks with the bristles!🪥We have explored playdough and shaving foam, pretending to floss with the duplo blocks to get the playdough out of the gaps and exploring the shaving foam textures!🩷 We have enjoyed going on some short walks around our village and of course engaging in some dentist role play with our friends and toys🦷
