🎉 Happy Birthday, BSA!
As part of National Boarding Week, today’s theme is BSA Birthday Bonanza, marking 60 years of the Boarding School's Association .
At Blundell’s, boarding is about so much more than where pupils sleep. It is about friendship, independence, belonging and the everyday moments that help make a House feel like home.
From shared meals and evening activities to support from House staff and friendships that last well beyond school, boarding plays such an important role in shaping confident, kind and well-rounded young people.

👩🍳 National Boarding Week: BSA Masterchef 👨🍳
Today’s National Boarding Week theme is all about food, creativity and the joy of sharing something delicious together.
Food plays such an important part in boarding life at Blundell’s, whether it’s baking in House, enjoying weekend treats, making snacks with friends or sitting down together for shared meals.
Our boarders also love taking part in our very own Blundell’s Masterchef competition, where pupils have great fun being creative in the kitchen, cooking up brilliant dishes and competing for the coveted Masterchef trophy. 🏆
It is always wonderful to see the teamwork, imagination and laughter that comes from cooking together in House.

The 2026 Mid Devon Netball Cup took place over two successful weekends, with the U14 and U16 tournaments held on 7 June and the U10 and U12 competitions following on 14 June. In excellent weather, more than 100 teams and hundreds of young players enjoyed two days of competitive and high-quality netball.
The tournaments gave players of all ages and abilities the chance to challenge themselves, with many experiencing their first tournament, playing in new combinations or stepping up to 7-a-side netball. Across all age groups, players showed impressive skill, teamwork, determination and sportsmanship.
The Cup once again demonstrated the strength of junior netball in the region and would not have been possible without the support of coaches, umpires, volunteers, parents and supporters who helped make the event such a success.

📚 Literacy Legends
As we continue National Boarding Week, today we are celebrating the quieter moments of boarding life; the evening prep sessions, reading routines and time spent winding down with a good book.
Boarding gives pupils the chance to build independence, develop good habits and support one another with their learning. Whether it is older pupils helping younger pupils with prep, sharing book recommendations, finding a quiet corner to read, or simply encouraging each other to stay focused, these everyday moments make a real difference.
From busy days to calm evenings, boarding life is full of opportunities to learn, grow and discover new interests, including a love of reading.
