We have had a special delivery of some new resources for the preschool today! These resources have been purchased with some of the money which was raised by the generosity of our wonderful parents following our sponsored Welly Walk, which took place at the end of last year. The children were loving 'Floor is Lava' - great for colour recognition & following instructions! Thank you so much! 😁

The children (& staff!) all had lots of fun, enjoying dancing, games and the parachute at our Christmas party today!🎉 And what an amazing performance from the children. Their singing was so wonderful, it just melted everybody's hearts! 🥰 Their confidence really shone through, a huge well done to them all 👏

Today we had a wintery, icy, problem solving tuff tray! The children felt the different textures and were amazed by the ice balls with figures frozen inside! One child said they looked like icebergs! ❄️ We talked about how we could rescue the figures from the ice. We decided to use small hammers to try to crack the ice open. This worked really well but was taking rather a long time. We talked about what might happen if we poured warm water onto the ice ... the children said "it will start to melt!" 😊 The children watched as the ice started to melt and it became easier with the hammers. The children were delighted to 'rescue' the Christmas figures in time for Christmas! Well done everyone, great teamwork! 😁
