Time Step Dance

The dancers have started getting costume ready thanks to The Costume Cabin . Its nearly show time :)

I've got one of these available if any Dance teacher. Or gym club wants it £50 it will need collecting ASAP as it won't fit through the door at my house.

Booking for our Christmas HAF Sessions are now live.
If you recieve a HAF code you can now book your free space. If you don't receive a code you can purchase tickets directly with us. Sandwell spaces for both HAF and nonHAF are already very limited.

I have this floor balance beam that we used to use in class but have nowhere to store now. It could do with a little vanish to bring it up clean but apart from that it's in really good condition. We have had an awesome week running the Go Play Sandwell sessions in Tipton with Tibby Residents at Brook Street Community Centre . Myself, Charlene and Naomi haven't stopped. We've had visits from Bernard and his mascots, Jordan came and did some graffiti with us and we met a real author and her spooky witch stories.
With nearly 60 individual children coming along and all their parents we have almost played ourself out. Thank you to everyone who attended.

Time Step Dance and Tibby Residents have lots of fantastic family activities happening over the half term. These are all free to come along to.
We have an author coming and a graffiti workshop as well as a visit from some of your favourite characters. No need to book. Just pop into Brook Street Community Centre and join in the fun

Christmas is Just around the corner so its nearly SHOW TIME!
full details of timings will be given over the next 2 weeks and tickets will be able to be reserved after half term.
Here are a few details to get started with.
Early show = dancers from Rowley, Coseley, Woodside, Awesome dancers from Sedgley. Tipton Musical Theatre and Popstars Twinkle ballet dancers, tiny cheer and freestyle.
Afternoon show - All other Tipton Classes

All children will be provided with a leotard to wear under their costumes which MUST be returned after the show. All costumes will be supplied by Time Step at no cost to parents
Can all children please bring a pair of black leggings with them for the finale.

We are having a Christmas fair to do a little fundraising and have a little Christmas fun before the show. I hope we will see you all there. :)

We've had lots of fun over the last 2 weeks providing sessions with Tibby Residents and Time Step Dance . We are at Brook Street Community Centre on Tuesday

Time steppers Time Step Dance and Tibby Residents are running a load of afterschool family free play sessions and some special events during half term. Everything is free and every one is welcome.

Good afternoon everyone.
I am writing this with a heavy heart as I had hoped not to have to write this, however recent events mean that i have to give a response as there have been some derogatory things said about time step and myself personally.
Time step moved away from WMA CFC when we restarted our sessions in September. The reason we gave to all of you was that the hall hire we were being charged was about to increase by around 150%. This is accurate.
We began moving our items out of the centre at that time though there are still some items to collect. Some of the larger items include the floors in 2 rooms, the ballet barre, mirrors and some other fixtures and fittings. In correspondence with the centre I noted that the removal of these items would be detrimental to the sessions they run presently and offered to wait to remove these until a time when the centre was closed and it would not impact on the services they are running. It was the centre itself who said that I should remove these items as quickly as possible. Without further communication they have decided that we are single handedly turning the centre into a building site and leaving it in a dangerous condition. I would like to make the point that underneath the laminate floor there is a perfectly serviceable vinyl floor and I understand that removing the carpet tiles in the community room would leave them without floor and would not do that to a space which I put so much into. I have had NO communication from the centre or the karate club since that email. The fact remains however that Time Step paid a great deal of money for these floors and therefore they belong to time step.
That being said I am sure that many people will see me as ruining a community project. This is something i dont want to happen as all parties involved have put a great deal of time and effort into building it to where it is. However my priority is ensuring the sustainability and progress of Time Step. This means that we had to make the very hard decision to move out of the centre when it became apparent that there were many issues that could severely impact our operations.
When we first became aware of WMA's financial difficulties in the spring I offered my help to get their accounts up to date and to look and see if there was a way that we could help to get their rent arrears and other outgoings under control. Whilst initially accepting our help they quickly changed their minds and I was told that the committee had decided that I was to have nothing to do with those and they would be resolving the issues themselves. This was the point that it became apparent that we could not remain at the centre.
I want to finish this post by reiterating that we are not 'ripping up' the flooring and leaving the centre in an unusable state, but we are looking out for the assets and the sustainability of Time Step as an organisation.
I will not be discussing this further and expect all time step families and friends to not engage is gossip or say anything derogatory about the other groups involved.

* Important Information *
After a great deal of thought and deliberation Time Step have decided to move all of our Owen Street sessions to St Marks Church Hall, Ocker Hill Road DY4 0UT until Christmas time.
This has been a hard decision to make but we believe this is the best decision for Time Step at the moment.
We hope that you will all be able to join us when our classes restart next weekend but we understand that it might be more difficult for some of you to get there. If this is the case please talk to us as we may be able to help or if you are a parent who could possibly help with giving lifts please let us know.

After 32 holiday club sessions over 23 days it's safe to say we are all a little tired. Its been an absolute blast. A huge thank you to all our staff and volunteers who have brought smiles to literally hundreds and hundreds of young people. Thank you to all of you who attended sessions and a great big thank you to Sandwell Holiday Activities and Dudley HAF . Without you none of this would have been possible.
We are going to have a well deserved break for the next 2 weeks but please keep an eye on the page as our revised timetables will be posted up over our holiday time.
