Forth Ports appoints new Chief Financial Officer

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Stuart MacGregor as our new Chief Financial Officer and member of the main board, effective 9th December 2024.

Stuart brings a wealth of expertise to the role, with a career spanning over 30 years in the international drinks and UK house building sectors, in financial leadership, strategic business transformation, commercial and operational excellence. Most recently, as Chief Executive Officer at Stewart Milne Group, he led the business through significant strategic initiatives, driving both growth and operational performance.

Prior to that, he held senior financial leadership roles at both Stewart Milne, including the role of Chief Financial Officer, and Heineken based in Europe. Stuart is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant.

Stuart will report directly to our Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Wallace who said, “With a proven ability to align financial strategy with business ambitions, Stuart’s financial and executive director leadership will be pivotal as we continue to evolve as a business, positioning Forth Ports for continued sustainable growth and long-term success. I am confident that Stuart will not only strengthen our executive team but also bring significant strategic insight and value to the main board and we look forward to him joining the business in December.”

Stuart MacGregor said “I am thrilled to be joining Forth Ports at this exciting time for the business. This is a growing company with strong ambitions in sectors that are critical to the Scottish and UK economies. I look forward to playing my part in its future success.”

Tilbury’s Charity Cup Victory Raises Funds for St Barts

Tilbury’s impressive 10-0 win in the Charity Cup was more than just a football triumph; it was a significant fundraising event. The match and subsequent function raised £6,771 for St Barts, in honour of Port of Tilbury Business Analysis Manager, Neil Davis, who is recovering from Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. St Barts played a crucial role in Neil’s treatment and recovery, making this contribution especially meaningful.

Generous donations from supporters and customers were instrumental in achieving this remarkable total, highlighting the community’s spirit and commitment to a worthy cause.

Well done to everyone involved and special congratulations to Man of the Match, Louis Hopkins, pictured receiving his trophy!

The Scotland team has some work to do to bounce back, but with 2025 just around the corner, anything is possible! 🌟 Who knows, just like their national team’s legendary 3-2 victory over World Champions, England in April 1967, we might witness the ultimate underdog story as they overcome adversity and rise to the challenge. 💪
